I have visited Backwoods Bar on three occasions. My first visit was very nice. Our server was very attentive, friendly and accommodating and everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their food. My second visit was just okay. We were a party of 8, and some of enjoyed their food and others did not. The service was very slow, but we were not in a rush, so it wasn’t a major issue. However tonight, my third visit, was not a positive experience. We were seated, given water and menus immediately, but that was it. A half an hour passed and no one came to our table. We patiently waited as many employees continuously passed by our table of 2 adults and 1 child without even a look, including from the owner/manager. The table next to us received their drink order and appetizer, and they were seated after us. The restaurant section we were seated in was nearly empty when we arrived just before 6pm on a Saturday night. Just as we decided to get up to leave, someone from the staff asked if anyone had taken our order, to which my husband responded “no, but we prefer not to wait any longer, so we will be leaving.” He curtly said “okay” and walked away. I write this review in hopes the ownership makes necessary corrections to improve their customer experience.

I never take time to review restaurants and don’t want to publicly put a place down but maybe some feedback will be helpful to the owner(s). I’ve been to BW 4x since 2023 and it’s only gotten progressively worse.
For my most recent visit, it was a mess from start to finish. Made a reservation for a specific table, which was still dirty when we got there (as well as other tables around it). It seemed like a task to get the correct # of plates and silverware for our party and no one ever came back to tell us a drink we ordered from the menu wasn’t available. Food is just ok, not at all what it’s made out to be on their socials (same applies to drinks). Potato pancakes came out as fried crisps 2x.
We had 2 glasses with bright pink lipstick on them. We needed the shade lowered a bit so the sliding door was opened and dead bugs spilled on the table and some of us.
Our server wasn’t friendly or remotely concerned with anything. They didn’t appear short staffed so that wasn’t an issue. The staff there now has gotten progressively younger and lacking of people/customer service skills, which is sad.
I leave this review b/c the place has such potential and whatever is going on just simply makes it not worth the visit. 4 of the 5 of us had never been there prior and no one cares to go back. Hopefully, they can figure it out and improve.

My family and I decided to eat here yesterday for Mother’s day and everything was absolutely terrible!!!!!! We have been here before and had such bad experience.
I was hoping for improvement from our time prior but nope. From the customer service to our food not being within expectations and still leaving hungry! $8 dollars for 6 FRIED PICKLES, MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE!
First time back in 2 years and nothings changed. Service is absolutely terrible. Food takes forever. Food is just ok but pricy. Not worth it. Won’t be back.

First time customer never will return used your curbside pickup when staff brought food they claimed they were confused about our order we ordered thru your site did as instructed. Brisket subs WAY OVER PRICED FOR A 6 INCH SUB. Fries were soggy pickle soggy top out of with my wife finding a hair in her sub. dessert was ok. totally disappointed

I was extremely disappointed with the service. I recently attended a family member’s graduation party at backwoods. The event was planned three weeks in advance, and yet, the food was late and the server that brought the food to our party was very rude. Staff was heard calling our party annoying, and were seen eating out of the containers that were later served to our party. The bar tender refused to serve our party after we were told there would be a cash bar. Additionally, the salmon was dry and the vegetables were over cooked. What should have been a night of celebration will now be a night associated with the memory of poor service, and toxic atmosphere. I do not intend to return as a customer to this establishment.
