Recently I finally stopped in to try the soups and was NOT disappointed. I have been back several times since and each time time I pick up something in addition and haven't found anything I would not order again. I no longer live in the Dallas area. I travel for this fabulous food, Mehoopany/Lovelton area is where I currently travel from and it is worth every mile. Jay and hi staff VERY accommodating and friendly- he has frozen soups for me for a later pickup. Can not recommend this place enough - try it you will NOT be disappointed, thank you Jay and staff.

I used to be a fan of Jay’s and especially the soups. The last 3 visits have been very disappointing and I cannot recommend anymore. I hesitated to post this because I kept wanting to give it another chance, but 3 strikes is enough. First, lobster bisque. The photo was not of the soup served. What I received was not a creamy bisque but was very watery with crunchy vegetables. Next was a salad that had a good amount of spoiled greens. Finally, Manhattan clam chowder that was not Manhattan clam. There was NO tomato base and it was overpowered with salt and bacon. I’m sorry to say, I will not be returning.

Best soup in the area. However, the selection changes daily. They offer 2 soups per day and then are offered in pints to go. Soups are posted for the week. I just wish the chicken noodle was made more frequently. They give samples on the soup if you're unsure.Excellent quality subs, salads, and other offerings. I got a shrimp cocktail from their cooler once which was totally random, but the shrimp was absolutely perfect.Oh, they do BBQ too but haven't tried that yet

Jays salads are delicious! very fresh and crisp! They are also huge! We have been so thankful to have a place to grab something quick and what a bonus for it to also be so yummy!
