About Deer Head Inn
Deer Head Inn Reviews
Loved our weekend stay! Beautiful, charming old hotel, older but SPOTLESS room, great food, friendly owners & staff, awesome jazz acts, beautiful scenery everywhere. Nice bar & a cozy venue to watch the bands. Shout out to bartender Rob, professional, friendly, & an asset to this fine establishment. We'll be back!
The jazz music will always be the draw, although the food and drinks are good too!
As a music venue, it was unparalleled! It was a rainy night, but it was a small and intimate chance to hear some incredible music, and enjoy some fantastic food! My only regret was that it took us soo long to find our way here!

The Deer Head Inn is a historic venue that offers a wonderful experience. The food is remarkably yummy, and the service is great. The atmosphere is fantastic, with top-notch music and a cozy ambiance. The rooms are charming and clean, with updated bathrooms. The surrounding area is nice to wander around, and the prices are reasonable. This oldest jazz club in the USA is a must-visit for jazz fans, with world-class music and a caring staff.
The hotel features lovely rooms, great jazz music, and excellent food at the bar and restaurant. The staff are very friendly, and the location is excellent for hiking and exploring the nearby attractions, such as Mt Minsi, Mt. Tammany, and the Appalachian trail. The town of Delaware Water Gap is also very nice, and the hotel is conveniently located near Stroudsburg. Guests can enjoy the Mystic Mug coffee and Sango Kura sake distillery, as well as the hotel's free breakfast, which includes a variety of breads, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, and soft-boiled eggs.
