Loved it! The house is absolutely adorable. The parking is a little wonky and the area might not be as inviting, but the tea house itself is wonderful. The service was great and the food was delicious. We even ordered additional sandwiches because they were so tasty. They had a lot of tea options. Maybe not as many as larger tea house, but still quite the menu. And the pricing was more than fair. It looks like they also host themed events so we will definitely be back!
Fun, different, lovely
I live in Virginia but every time I visit family in Bel Air, Md, I insist on going to the Tea Trolley. On 17 January I had my first visit of 2026. It was 5 stars in every way. Awesome food; impeccable service; the friendliest staff. The mimosa flight was a perfect accompaniment to my delicious meal. For those of you who may not know, the Tea Trolley is under new management - and their commitment to retain the superior food & atmosphere of the founder is noteworthy. PLUS they expanded the menu! Even more perfect. I look forward to my next trip and it won’t be soon enough. THANK YOU TEA TROLLEY OWNERS AND STAFF.
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating my mom’s birthday - Tea for 4!! This is a beautiful place for a tea party!!
Fantastic experience at Christmas tea. The food was delicious and the service was great!
We stood outside for an hour and a half waiting for the noon bus, only to find out our reservation was moved to 3 pm without us being notified. The noon bus didn't leave until 1 pm. We sat in our car (three blocks away) until 2:45 pm. The 3 pm bus we were on didn't arrive until 4pm. We stood outside in the cold and wind for another hour and 15 minutes waiting with no place to sit or get out of the weather. The food was awful (not just my opinion). The tea served was literally about 3 sips of tea. I don't know how this company will stay in business if they don't improve their food and efficiency. We certainly don't recommend the Tea Trolley. It was a long and tiring day.
Was a great tea experience! Friendly environment, gorgeous building and delicious food and tea!
Our group just got back from the Candlelight Christmas tea and it was a wonderful experience. The dining room was decorated just right for the season and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and many pictures were taken by the beautiful Christmas trees. We will definitely be back to enjoy tea again!
Recently attended my first tea at the Tea Trolley under its new owners. My friends and I were not disappointed! We are members of a tea club, and have visited approximately 25-30 tea rooms. This remains one of the best! The scones rival Nancy Reppert’s scones at Sweet Remembrances in Mechanicsburg, which is no easy feat, and the quality remains.
Best experience! Harry Potter themed tea party was absolutely adorable. We were sorted by edible sorting hats with the color revealed in the center. From there, there were edible wands, snitches, and chocolate frogs. No detail was missed. Can’t wait to go back for other themes and for high tea!

We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. We made reservations online, it was super easy. It is nice that they are open on Sundays since we work the rest of the week. We each ordered the afternoon tea. We got mushroom soup. It was the best mushroom soup I have ever had in my life. It was decadent. We got the seasonal scone which was pumpkin. Delicious. The tea sandwiches were great. Everyone agreed that the cucumber sandwiches were the best they had ever had. The desserts were delicious too. We were each able to try 2 different pots of tea. We really enjoyed each of the flavors. The building itself is a beautiful old Victorian house. A great time was had by Everyone. We are already talking about going back for our next friends birthday. This place is great!
A delightful experience.
What an experience. New owner Wendy and her culinary expertise & daughters blew us away. My granddaughter and I had the best time. As a china lover, I enjoyed all the patterns , made in England, some very rare pieces. Old architecture of building, stunning. This is a moment to savor. Thank you everyone for a wonderful afternoon.
Excellent service and product, the historic building that serves as the tea house is nice to explore and relax in. This place will give you a feel you won’t find much anywhere else.
Drove an hour to visit here and it was worth it! The food is excellent and the tea is to die for. The set up is so beautiful! I will definitely be back.
