We were treated to tasty tea sandwiches, dessert cookies and pastries, but the most delicious were the scones. The staff was very prompt and efficient. I would definitely go back.

The tea house is in a beautiful early 19th-century home, which gives it such a warm and cozy feel. 🏡💕 They brought out several pots of tea (so many flavors to choose from!), along with finger sandwiches, mini desserts, and the most delicious warm scones. 🥪🧁 Even if you’re not a big tea drinker, I think you will still love the experience.
The girls also had a great time browsing their adorable gift shop before we left. If you decide to go, definitely make reservations as it does fill up quickly!

I just came to the tea trolley for one of their Christmas evening teas and it was fabulous. The room we were in had dark lighting which created a wonderful ambiance. The whole house was decorated beautifully. The teas were delicious and the food was amazing as always. I was so full that I had to take a bunch of food home! The service was amazing. The girls are always attentive. Overall a magical experience.

I rarely write a negative review but this was a frustrating experience. My sisters and I purchased a Christmas Tea and were excited to attend yesterday. We were seated upstairs . It took awhile for our room to get waited on. They brought two tea options one of which we liked. We also enjoyed the soup. Sadly, thats where our positive experience ended. An 11/2 hour's in and we had only been served a soup and our salad. We had no tea left in our kettle and had asked for it awhile ago. My sister said, do you realize we are at a tea party and have still only been served soup and salad and we have no tea. When they finally delivered our main food . It looked good but none of us cared for our savory or our sweets. The server serving us had a dirty apron filled with smeared food. She had little personality and did not interact at all. No explanation of the foods or tea. She just sat stuff down and said enjoy walked away. We cut our sweets in half to taste and decided to leave our other halves behind. The best part of the tea was the one tea called snowflake and the soup. It was not cohesive with long waits in between each course. There was a Christmas Tree in our room but other than that there was no decorations. The way the table was set, only one of us had a view of the tree. The other two’s faced completely bare walls. The walls had no pictures or decorations of any kind. It did have a long radiator and that was the view for two of us. We looked around the room and oddly not one of the walls had any decorations. It was also very chilly at our table. The room just lacked a cozy and christmassy feel. The desserts served were also not decorated christmassy. Last year we went to another Christmas Tea in our hometown and it was decked out with decorative servers to decorated food with Christmas music. The servers explained each item and were very interactive and the experience had a good flow between courses. That is what we rightfully expected here because one pays extra for a Christmas Tea vs a regular Tea. We can only compare this to the other two tea houses we have gone to and this was by far a let down for all three of us. The atmosphere was dingy, the food was just ok and overall it was not festive. We will not return to the Tea Trolly. Sadly, it was not as expected and frankly a let down for our special day.
The Tea Trolley catered my daughter’s bridal shower in Harford County, MD in October 2024. The event was a wonderful success made extra special with the incredibly delicious scones, sandwiches, desserts, and of course, tea provided by The Tea Trolley! They created lovely place settings with their plates, teacups, and napkins. There was more than enough food for our party of 30 people. If the opportunity presents itself again, I will definitely employ them for another catered event. I highly recommend The Tea Trolley!

I’ve never had a better scone. The clotted cream and lemon curd are homemade and heavenly. And the service - top notch. Samantha was knowledgeable about the history of the house and Delta itself. She showed us some of the intrigue details of the house and treated us like gold. I will be back as my daughter and granddaughter will love it! Thank you for a lovely visit.

The food is delicious. The scones are heavenly, served warm with homemade lemon curd and clotted cream. To die for! our server, Samantha, was knowledgeable about the house and Delta itself. She even showed us things about the millwork in the house that were really interesting. She treated us like gold! My sister and I loved it and so will my daughter and granddaughter when I take them, which will be soon! I’m so happy to have found The Tea Trolley.
