This place is great! Authentic Mexican food, great service, great prices. I tried a steak quesadilla and my husband had the chicken & steak fajita. Our food came out right right away, even though the restaurant was almost full. Also, my husband highly recommends the house-made hot sauce.

I visit Castañedas frequently when I'm in the area. When the weather is nice, the outside seating is the best. The employees are friendly and helpful. The shrimp soup, tortilla soup, fajitas, and so much more taste great! It's the perfect little place for Mexican food.

Fantastic food. The people there are real nice. The shrimp diablo is the hottest thing I have ever had. Have them put the spice stuff on the side so you can adjust it to your liking. You've been warned!!

After traveling 4 hours from home we decided we needed some food in our bellies. Found this lovely spot on a whim and oh my goodness. Homemade salsa, guacamole and hot sauce that stimulate the taste buds. The entree’s were on point. Great portion sizes for the price as well. The staff was welcoming and the owner was a delight smiling from ear to ear hearing how much we loved it. Next time we are in the area there’s no doubt we will be back.

Waitress was very friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent! The “fluffy taco” is fun, it’s basically just a ground beef soft taco but the tortilla is fried and puffy. It made for a nice meal combined with the Chile Relleno (green pepper stuffed with cheese).
