The food at Black Cat Cafe is always fresh & delicious, thanks to the Best of the Main Line's chef Judy. The staff is friendly & efficient, even when busy. The gift area always has cute items to peruse. And the kittens & cats in the cages are always adorable....and I have to drag myself away before adopting them all. I love that the cafe supports PALS, where we adopted 2 of our cats over 20 years ago! Definitely 5 stars all around. But it's best to make a reservation, they get busy!

I loved this little restaurant. We went for brunch. The place was cute and cozy. We ordered blueberry pancakes and the vegan Garfield sampler. The food was great!

The Black Cat Cafe is my go-to for gluten free pancakes ??. They are moist, tender and delicious! Truly outstanding!
Many places--including pancake restaurants-- offer pancakes but they are always dry requiring butter and a near-drowning in syrup so as to not choke. Not here! Only soft, tender magic in my mouth.
I can't count the number of times I've recommended Chef Judy's gf pancakes! ? I've been gluten free for 14 years and from my experience these are the best in the tri-state area.
Another major highlight of the dining experience is the attached gift shop where they have adoptable kittens and cats to visit!
I absolutely? ? ? that 80% of my check goes to saving kittens and cats!!
Vegetarian options: Menu is clearly marked for vegetarian and vegans. We had a person with egg and dairy allergies in our party and the vegan options were reportedly excellent.
Dietary restrictions: They are serious about food allergies. Plentiful gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu and I have never had an issue.
Kid-friendliness: It's adorable for kids! What kid doesn't want to go see the kitties in the gift shop?

Saturday night 7pm. Walked in nobody else was there. Ordered Roast Beef on my sandwich was given Turkey. Not much meat on the sandwich. I had to hunt down the employees to give orders. Wanted a refill of water, and was given warm water. Over-priced food. Will never be returning.

Atmosphere: I had the pleasure of visiting this non-profit cafe, where the workers are volunteers and 80% of the money earned goes to cat rescue! I truly enjoyed the aesthetic of the cafe, decorated with adorable cat decor and as well as products they sold as well, such as socks, jewelry, shirts, and more! The cats, also, very adorable! Food: I ordered a Breakfast favorite while my boyfriend ordered the Garfield Sampler—which was like a little bit of everything! Service: Service and Chef were great and friendly, food was fanatic, and not only do they serve breakfast, but also serves lunch and ice cream! A hidden gem in the area and I am looking forward to returning! Just a friendly place to be!

In town for a baseball tournament and found this little hidden gem. Not only was the breakfast delicious, they had kittens, that they foster. This really was my ideal place, wish I lived closer. While at our table two adorable kids came to our table and handed us a note, see pictures. We definitely will pay it forward and thank you to Jay for sharing your dad with us. A very happily heavenly birthday to David! Thank you!!
