We made a trip to Dover to give the cafe a try based on the reviews and frankly came away disappointed. The place had a cozy feel even if it was a little noisy from the kitchen. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food, however, was pretty bland, not much flavor or spice at all whether it wax the calamari, veal piccata, or handmade meatball lasagna.

Great little place , food was absolutely delicious, service great and all it’s missing is a little it of music … we got crab dip, chicken Marsala and shrimp champagne- total bill $73 , portions was huge and we took half of it to go. This place is BYOB . Definitely worth the stop, Great Italian food

Honestly, this has to be some of the worst Italian food I have ever had. It was undercooked, under seasoned, and the price for the quality is unacceptable and embarrassing.

We’ve visited this restaurant four times now, really hoping it would grow on us, but we’ve walked away disapointed each time. The gluten-free dishes, which we appreciate seeing on the menu, tend to have watery, underseasoned sauces that don’t quite hit the mark. For the price, we expected a bit more in terms of quality and flavor, it just doesn’t feel worth what you’re paying. One thing that stood out was the cheese; when requested, it came as a dry, powdered topping that felt out of place on a sitdown meal. Service has been consistently averag not rude, but not particularly warm or attentive either. The pace of the kitchen is noticeably slow, even when the dining room isn’t busy. The food also doesn’t taste very fresh; on our last visit, the dish was overly salty and felt heavy, lacking the balance we usually enjoy when making Italian meals at home. It didn’t leave us feeling great afterward, which is a shame given the potential in the menu. We wanted to like this place, and we’ve truly tried to give it a fair chance. At this point, though, it’s probably time for us to move on. :(

Fantastic food and service! Awesome place to have a meal
I had the veal parmigiana. It was the best that I’ve ever eaten! My husband said the meatball lasagna was great. Our wait staff was very nice and attentive. The restaurant was full. Our waitress was able to fit us in before the next reservation came in. I would strongly suggest reservations. The only drawback I can think of is that the restaurant was loud and crowded. Go. I strongly advise it.
