Incredibly expensive, decent food with sub par service. A woman refilling deli salads asked me three times if I “needed something”. I told her that in fact I wanted multiple items. She said that I’d have to wait a minute. Acknowledging she was busy I proceeded to wait patiently for over ten minutes while two other deli personnel stood behind the counter like cigar store Indians. After realizing that no one was interested in waiting on me I left leaving at least (judging by the ridiculous prices) a $40 deli order. I assume the store makes its money through absurd prices and not customer service. I may or may not give the place another chance someday but not anytime soon. Definitely not impressed.
I was really disappointed with the chicken cutlet hoagie I received. The presentation was terrible and the bread was soggy and falling apart. On top of that, there was barely any tomato or lettuce, which made the sandwich even more unappetizing. For the price, I expected something fresh and well-made, but this was a letdown. Definitely not worth ordering again. Upset because we always order catering from there but this was just negative.
Great venue for a wine tasting or a cup of cappuccino!
I’m sorry and disappointed I have to write this review. I had shopped here for years and absolutely loved the market and ordered from the deli over and over again. I’ve recommended it to a lot of people. Our favorite pizza is the Brooklyn pie. We’ve got it often, even ordered very large orders (hundreds of dollars worth at a time) of this pizza for parties, so we know what it can taste like. The quality the last year has really. declined. It might be because we’ve been ordering around 2pm after the lunch rush, but there’s no excuse. This last time was really bad and no question it was stale pizza. I noticed this issue with some of the bakery goods I purchased lately (stale). Sad to throw away a whole pie when hungry , but when you literally can’t chew it and gums bleed, it’s ridiculous . I kept thinking it was “just this once” or made some excuse to friends and family, but lately the crust has been consistently stale, so stale I couldn’t even cut it with a sharp knife and when tried to bite it, the stale crust cut the inside of cheek on the crust. I called the deli and they insisted it was made fresh, there is no way. I know what it’s supposed to be like. I called customer service, left my number and it’s been a week with no reply. Stale pizza over and over again the last 6 months. I just can’t do it anymore .
The aroma as you step inside will make you gain weight.
Great Food and atmosphere
I was raised old school Italian, so I know good Italian food. I was told Altamonte's was authentic so I bought food there for a dinner I was preparing for extended family. I spent $60 on sauce, meatballs, and bread!! So I had some high expectations. Sadly, my family and I were disappointed. Altamonte's is NOT authentic Italian. Madigans (non Italian) may think it's good but it's really just about the same I could have gotten at Giant. If you want real authentic Italian food, stay home and cook. This NOT the place to go.

A Fantastic Find at Altomonte's Italian Market!
I have to say, Altomonte's is a very good place! The staff is friendly, and they offer authentic Italian food. As we just arrived from Italy to visit some relatives, we decided to make an Italian dinner, and your store made our lives so much easier. We found everything we needed for our meal! Thank you for providing such a wonderful selection. Highly recommend this market! 😄
The best part of shopping is having a little cappuccino and biscotti break!

Amazing establishment. Never had a bad meal here ever. Incredible customer service. Great energy in the building. Prices are appropriate considering the care and quality they put into their food prep. Always just a great experience coming in here to grab groceries and a bite.
Vast selection pricing reasonable
Fantastic place!
Used to be my go to.. 3rd time I've ordered extra meat and paid 20 for a hoagie and been ripped. No one picks up the phone and I will not be returning
Hoagies were very mediocre and overpriced. $15+ for an Italian hoagie with chunky onions and low quality cuts of deli meat. Not worth the price. Store is kind of a novelty of overpriced goods and Italian products.
