It’s in the Market Place building on Main St just south of E State street in the center of old Doylestown (across the street from Gap) Wonderful Sunday brunch! Toast with ricotta, tomatoes and smoked salmon drizzled with balsamic, make your own omelet, all was delicious; including yummy mimosas. A few tables and a bar in the restaurant and more seating in the lovely shared inside corridor - like a mini NY Chelsea Market. Multiple choices of libation and food.

Great place and I’m all about supporting local but the wine from Wycombe vineyards was tough to drink.

Vegetarian options: I’ve had two different Panis here. I do not eat meat. They’re delicious. They also have a grilled Caesar salad. That is wonderful hummus plate.

Outstanding, once again.Stopped in to get some drinks and shared a delightful order of spinach artichoke Panini. It was mouthwatering comfort food with a little sweet finish. That went perfect with my famous monsters, pumpkin seasonal beer, and my wife's rose Maza glass of wine. The staff are always so kind so pleasant so friendly and engaging. Tonight was Lindsey and our previous trip. It was Nate there. Certainly a passion for what the kids do here at this restaurant.

Disappointing. Our waiter Jason was friendly and that's the only reason this gets an extra star. Both of us got the roasted chicken thigh sandwich, granted I would never put chicken thighs on a sandwich so that's an odd move but I didn't want the fried chicken. Everything here is overpriced. Service is slow because they're serving hopscotch as well. The chicken pieces were thicker than both pieces of bread put together, half of which was soggy, it was basically toasted plain ass wonder bread. Not spicy at all, way too greasy and fell apart as soon as you take the toothpick out. Fries were clearly out of the bag shitty frozen crap - why doesn't anyone make anything quality anymore? Fries are the easiest thing to make from scratch and have it be a selling point. Very strange menu, lots of meatless options if you're vegetarian but who wants a collard green sandwich?? Just once again disappointed by the doylestown restaurant scene, not surprised.

LOVE THIS PLACE! husband and I found this place walking through the marketplace and decided to to stop in. The menu had plenty of good options even for me being a vegetarian. The food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing. I have to say that the bartender Nate has to be the best bartender in town! He not only was bartending but serving tables and running food out to tables as well. What we found impressive was how he was able to engage with everyone while he was doing all of those things and doing it all with ease. He made sure that everyone was having a great time. I can't say enough about our experience at harper and penny and we will definitely be back again!

I read the rave reviews about how good the food was, so I was really excited. BUT, my experience was quite different. My friend and I both ordered a hamburger, medium, hers with Swiss and mine with cheddar. When they came out, hers filled the bun and was thick and juicy, and she really enjoyed it. Mine looked anemic and more like a hockey puck, small, flat and well-done. I simply couldn't eat it, so the chef nicely remade it.The second burger was better from a size standpoint but certainly not as big and juicy as my friend's. It was also medium rare not medium like hers, but at that point I was so hungry that I just ate it - only half of it though because I didn't care for the taste.Apparently, the chef puts mollases in the burgers. I simply dislike a sweet taste with any meat but especially my hamburger! They only have chicken thigh, no breast meet to be found, even in the chicken sandwich. Also, all of their wines are from PA, a state not known for good wine, and all of their liquor too.I cannot see ever returning to this restaurant. It has an interesting and pleasant atmosphere, which is the only reason it got any stars at all.

The food is good, no doubt. I have my gripes with some culinary decisions, but ultimately, the food is good. The chicken sandwich is fantastic, the French onion fries are amazing, and their house side salads are great, too.The "Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich" was great; HOWEVER, as a note to the owner, I'd recommend specifying which kind of Carolina barbecue being referenced. In this case, it's a South Carolina-style barbecue, i.e., mustard-based, which is definitely not to everybody's tastes (I happened to love it, but my dining companion could not stand it, since we both assumed a vinegar-based North Carolina-style sauce).Likewise, when ordering chicken on a salad, most people assume they're getting chicken breast—here, however, you'll be getting chicken thighs. Normally, I'm a thigh guy, but on a salad, breasts are the winner every day.

Top notch across the board. They were so accommodating and willing make gluten free fried chicken and waffles! So friendly to the kids and they had plenty of puzzles and games for the kids while we waited. I didn't have a drink but they have a full bar. Went for Sunday brunch. Will be back again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
