I have not yet hung out here as a patron, but I play a gig here once a month and it is very chill.

I come here often and never had an issue. Last night I went around 7 pm to catch up with my girlfriend. I get nothing but attitude from the bartender. Then I ask her if I did anything to offend her and she yells loudly at me and curses at me. If this is how this establishment lets their employees treat their customers I will never go here again. Actually I don't feel safe to ever come here again.

Nice place. Didn't have food. The bartender was very nice. Unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 drinks we didn't care for. Maybe it just wasn't for our taste buds.

Last night, my friends and I were so excited to be in Doylestown to check out the bar scene. Everything went smoothly until my friends and I arrived at this establishment. We had two to three beers each before we arrived to meet with old friends. With valid PA IDs, ages of 22 and 23 years old, we were told our IDs were "flagged" upon our revival. The Saturday night manager told me he could not do anything regarding the IDs, we would not be served at this establishment and had to leave. Doylestown Police were no help. We went to the station regarding the issue because again, we are of valid age and were not visibly intoxicated. No one seemed to be able to explain the reasoning behind this. Very odd experience, will never return again. I don't recommend trying to get in this place with anyone under 30 because you will probably be turned away.

Always somehow end up here in our nights out. Drinks are great and the bartenders are efficient and friendly. Downstairs is more laid back which we like some nights.

Great bar with unique drinks. It's also kind of like 3 places in one. There's a really cool downstairs too. Pizza is sublime, and the wings are fantastic.

Tried to come into this bar with my girlfriend last night and the bartender took her real id and held it up and smirkingly said “this is fake” S She had threatened to call the police to which we said good please do because it’s a real id . She dissappeared for 10 minutes only to come to back to give us back the id when she realized she was wrong, and someone more informed than her must’ve told her it was real. Instead of apologizing and admitting her mistake she shooed us away and said she was “uncomfortable “ serving her because the id was slightly bent. She can get bent . Will never be back .

Went out for drinks, and the place was nice and chill. Drinks were made very well, especially "curmudgeon".

Not many can say they have found their “bar”, if you watch any sit coms you know what I’m referring to. It is hard to find those places now a days, a simple sit down bar where you can grab a drink after work with your buddies. Well after going to hop/scotch for over 4 years. I can say I have found my bar.Unlike the other bars around town, hop/scotch does their routine a bit different. What do I mean? They are inclusive and offer more variety in their business.- open mic- trivia- live music- open patio- theme parties/events- pride events- LGTBQ+ inclusive- thrift and drink!- hangout spot!Everyday is different but two things I can always expect walking in. One, The warm welcome and amazing customer service of Christian, Lindsay, Michael, Rachel, Abby, and Sam (and others that I forget their names sorry). Two, the incredible food choices! The pizza from the restaurant they work with is absolutely perfect. If I had to add one note is this.- is not for everybody, believe me, is not a “college bar” or a “smoke bar”. It is something better.

7 people behind the bar dressed as mixologists, 3 separate people took our order and changed it each time when they read it back. Finally they made our drinks and served them to the people next to us. Mixologist disappeared when asked a question and took a 20 minute break before coming back to take our order again. When I say it was bizzaro and underwhelming, I mean it. Seems like a bunch of kids playing dress up and one actual bartender holding it down. It’s like they want to be in Brooklyn, but have never been or understand why.

AGGRESSIVE BOUNCER/MANAGER!!!Was sitting downstairs with my friend and our two girls when two people from our party had gone upstairs for the restroom, when we tried to go back downstairs to rejoin our group the man at the top of the stairs began aggressively yelling that it was closed and after telling him multiple times that our group was still down there and we needed to gather our belongings. He accuses us of lying and follows us down the stairs and then begins to yell at us and point at me that I placed another order when it was our girl friends that had placed it and the bartender vouched for us that she chose to make our girls another round. This customer service is unacceptable for people who were completely calm and respectable. Whoever this guy is that sits at the top of the stairs needs to relax and not go on a power trip when speaking to guests.

Appealing location and seems to have a great small, welcoming vibe. Unfortunately, the service was unacceptable. Waited 20 minutes for water and another 30 for drinks and an appetizer. Spoke to the waitress about the wait and was given our check shortly after the complaint. The manager brought the check to us and said we need to leave because of a complaint about our service.Obviously, the comment made about slow service to the waitress is not acceptable at this establishment. Completely shocked by how the manager handled this situation. Very passive aggressive and unwilling to accept responsibility for the sub-par service. Plenty of good places to get some food and drinks in Doylestown. This is not one of them.
