Usually this place is very good. Food is usually awesome and the service is great. Last night, a lot was “off”. Service was meh. My lasagna was barely warm. My wife's favorite Clams Nico was not spiced like it usually is. Her cocktail barely had any alcohol in it. I had to ask for bread that's usually given after your drink order and they didn't bother giving the dipping sauce. Etc. As I said, it was definitely off. I hope they read this because I hope it was just an anomaly. We'll be back again, though.

The manager suggested the lunch special salad, and it was delicious! Our servers were excellent . The rolls were so fresh and tasty with the dipping sauce.

We had a funeral luncheon and it was out of this world. They prepared special menus with in loving memory of my husband. All the tables were set with beautiful tablecloth and cloth napkins, started with delicious bread, salad, pasta then main meal, and mini cannolis. Everyone raved about the food and service. Staff was kind and very attentive It’s was perfect. I would highly recommend. The prices vary from what you want, they offer many options. Delicious and affordable.

Made the plan with Family to get together for dinner in new year Jan 2 2026 , made reservations 6 o’clock dinner for 9 people, it was confirm by the guy on the phone ,and made sure it was for Doylestown location When we arrived to checked in girl at the desk said : you’re not in the book, so she called the manager who said that nothing we can do, you are not in the book and everything is being booked ,then call the guy who made the reservation , the guy said he didn’t remember, manager offered sitting at the front of the restaurant where people ordering quick slice of pizza , I said no we want dinning room where we booked the reservation and ask him if Fami the owner in, manager said no , he’s in Newtown location, , he didn’t even apologize for screwing up our planed dinner.. My family were on its way to the restaurant , so I had to call them and cancel the dinner !This is second time in the past 10 years, but the first time Fami the owner was in and made a sitting available for as inside the dining and apologies .We used to like both locations for many years since they were opened good food , but I have no words for how frustrating we were,it’s really screwed up!!!😡

What attracted us to Piccolo Trattoria was that they accepted reservations late. We couldn't get there ‘till at least 9:15 or later, so their hours is what was really appreciated, as they accepted Open Table reservations ‘till at least 9:45. Someone from the restaurant had called me twice while I was making the long drive over; I was running 🏃 a bit tardy so I telephoned them on the drive over, prior to 9:15 to say I was on my way so they wouldn't think 🤔 I had forgotten about them. The young lady on the phone 📞 on their end said “ see you soon 🔜 or see you tonight .” In either event it was all good , or so I thought 💭. I arrived about ten minutes tardy and walked in. There were about four employees just sitting around, and the one at the register told me they wouldn't serve me as they had sent the kitchen staff all home ! Why then did they tell me it was alright, and make me make that drive 🚙 over there ? All for nothing 😤 !

Found Piccolo on Open Table with availability. Of course it was a busy night so they were doing the best that they could. The food was great. The buffalo cheese tower was great, though we were not given little plates like the other tables so we were dropping food. We will be back.

Normally I don't have any issues with this restaurant, but since it was New Year"s Eve they were a little overbooked. Inspite of that, the service and food were excellent as usual.
