Steaks on State is a simple, casual, and cozy restaurant right on State Street in Doylestown, surrounded by shops and restaurants and bars. It is a very good option for a cheesesteak meal, with some calling it the best cheesesteak currently on the east coast. The cheesesteak is absolutely incredible, unbelievably good, and so very good. They follow the trends with a seeded roll and Cooper Sharp cheese, and use extremely fresh ingredients, with the steak freshly made. The meat to bread ratio is super perfect and the portion size is excellent. The Viking cheesesteak is also super tasty.
The fries are delicious, with some declaring them the best fries ever hands down. The portion is a large pound of crispy, delicious fries. Other menu items like the Buffalo chicken steak sandwich, zucchini fries with ranch, hoagies, and salads are also tasty, though the buffalo chicken can be very saucy. It is definitely an unhealthy, treat meal.
The space is beautifully clean and cool. The service is top-notch, good, friendly, and polite with awesome customer service. It is highly, highly recommended as the best damn food in the area for a real cheesesteak.
