Myself and my friends visited Vilnius and were looking for a good steakhouse with a good atmosphere. We heard about the “The Meating Room” and had had to try it. The food was outstanding, but the service was even better. We met Julia the bartender who was so awesome! Hands down one of the coolest bartenders we’ve meet so far in Lithuania. Thank you so much for making our experience so cool… Julia rocks!!!!

The atmosphere captivates you from the moment you walk in. We enjoyed how they had all the winter/Christmas decorations still up, because `tis the season for celebrating.The waitresses worked well together and the owner/manager stopped over to check in on us several times throughout the meal, but in a very friendly and non-intrusive way.. she just really wanted to make sure we were enjoying everything... and we absolutely did.Oysters Rockefeller turned my girlfriend intoan oyster and anise lover (the cream sauce is very subtle but a perfect touch) instantly. Extra extra dirty martinis were perfectly crafted, the menu isn't too big which screams quality and consistency to me. The shrimp and chicken dish had a peppery cream sauce that was more flavorful than spicy. And the steak... delmonico with a mushroom cream sauce, and the steamed veggies were cooked perfectly. That sounds like a minor detail, but they were so colorful and vibrant that I knew they were prepared fresh to order and if they put that much care into nailing their sides imagine the flavor of the mains. The rice pilaf was excellent and the sweet potato waffle fries had a maple bourbon glaze that left your lips puckering from a little extra bourbon flavor you don't get with this style side always.We got the steak medium rare and it was just that, perfectly delicious all throughout and perfectly cooked to the very edge. Nicely seasoned as well.Thank you for such a great experience

I have to update my review. The food is very good still, the place is really quaint and nicely decorated for Christmas, but the service tonight was just abysmal. There is no bartender or bus person. The older lady (owner maybe?) was tending the bar, cleaning tables, and sitting people. They definitely need more help! We stood by the hostess stand for 20 minutes while she sat two other parties. It took over 1.5 hours for us to get our food. We watched the table next to us not being happy with something they ordered. When the waitress finally came to check on them, they ordered something else only to have the waitress come back a little later to say they had pretty much run out a bunch of things. I'd say we'd come back but not on a Saturday!

It was quite noisy that evening but overall it was a good experience. Food was good, service was a bit slow, but I know that the waiters was very busy also tending the bar. We will come back.

I’m hoping this place isn’t going under or something as it used to be a favorite place to eat. Just ate dinner there tonight and we were the only 2 people there took 35 mins for salads and a hour for our meal which was fine. When we left we tipped our waitress 10$ for the 2 meals we had didn’t order drinks or anything extra, upon leaving we were chased down in the parking lot by the owner holding our bill and asked if something was wrong. Upon replying no she said well you only tipped 10$ and asked for more so we gave more being so flabbergasted as to what was going on. I’ve never been approached while in my car and asked for more money. IM HOPING THIS PLACE ISN'T GOING UNDER OR HAVING TROUBLE PAYING THEIR EMPLOYEES TO THE EXTENT THEY ARE IN THE PARKING LOT BEGGING FOR MORE. WILL NEVER RETURN NOW. Do better!
