For whatever reason my children love Scotty's donuts and whenever we visit the grandparents about a thousand miles from home they always ask repeatedly if we can stop and get donuts, by which they mean can Dad get up early and go get donuts so that when they finally wake up at 11:00 in the morning they can eat them.

If I understand correctly the original owner has passed within the last year or so and I will say the inside of the store seems to reflect...

as a german, of course, for my very first visit, I tried Bavarian cream. For a doughnut it was overall good, but it was definitely a custard not true Bavarian cream, and the chocolate was a little light more like icing not a dipped hard chocolate. The dough was on the lighter side, however, I do not believe they are made with traditional Lard.

Great donut shop with all of the classic donuts! I went with a a classic Boston Cream and a lemon filled! Pretty popular place on a Saturday morning! Everyone coming out had 1 if not two dozen donuts!
