as a german, of course, for my very first visit, I tried Bavarian cream. For a doughnut it was overall good, but it was definitely a custard not true Bavarian cream, and the chocolate was a little light more like icing not a dipped hard chocolate. The dough was on the lighter side, however, I do not believe they are made with traditional Lard.
Great donut shop with all of the classic donuts! I went with a a classic Boston Cream and a lemon filled! Pretty popular place on a Saturday morning! Everyone coming out had 1 if not two dozen donuts!
We are from Atlanta. We had to drive 1:15 just to go by. They are by far the best donuts that I have ever had. Just great good, good ole donuts. Wish I lived closer but may be 100 lbs heavier if I did. If you have not had them, then you are missing out.
