Went this morning for breakfast. Eating my pancakes and had a piece of broken plate in them. How does that happen?

I was craving something sweet and creamy, so I ordered the bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream and caramel drizzle - it was absolutely divine!

My recent visit to Valley Dairy was, unfortunately, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a while, easily ranking among my worst. Despite a seemingly quiet atmosphere with only 3-4 tables occupied, the meal was plagued by a series of unfortunate events that left me feeling frustrated and certainly not valued as a customer.
The issues began right off the bat with the unavailability of cheese sticks, a minor inconvenience perhaps, but a sign of things to come. My milkshake arrived next, overflowing messily onto the table – not exactly the refreshing start I was hoping for. Then came the soup, delivered far too early and consequently lukewarm by the time our main courses finally made their appearance.
Speaking of main courses, one of the meals was initially incomplete, with half of it arriving much later, close to the time we were ready to leave. To add insult to injury, neither dish came with the expected condiments. My girlfriend's meal lacked mustard, and my Reuben was missing its Thousand Island dressing.
Prior to ordering the Reuben, I specifically inquired if it was crunchy or toasted, and was assured that it would be. What arrived, however, was a sandwich that appeared to have only one side grilled, certainly not the satisfying crunch I anticipated. Furthermore, the Reuben was incredibly sparse on meat, making it a particularly underwhelming dish.
Throughout this ordeal, the service was largely absent. Despite the low number of patrons, our seemingly new and very young waitress rarely checked on us for refills or to see if everything was alright. In fact, I found myself making approximately five trips to the waitress station to request missing items, including the forgotten sauces we had asked for.
To her credit, the waitress was undeniably friendly and offered apologies for the numerous errors. When I did manage to flag her down for missing components of our meals, she did rectify the situation relatively quickly. However, her pleasant demeanor couldn't fully compensate for the litany of errors and the overall lack of attentiveness.
While I can't definitively pinpoint the cause of such a disjointed experience – perhaps the kitchen was short-staffed, as the absence of a cook was implied – it highlights a potential lack of managerial oversight. In a restaurant setting, especially with so few customers, a manager should ideally ensure all staff are well-supported and capable of delivering a basic standard of service.
For a $50 meal, the sheer number of mistakes and the need for constant self-service were unacceptable. While the friendly nature of the waitress offered a sliver of positivity, it wasn't enough to salvage what was ultimately a deeply disappointing visit to Valley Dairy. Based on this experience, a one-star rating feels appropriate, placing it among my least enjoyable dining experiences.

Went tonight for my birthday dinner and the Waitress Alexis was super sweet and VERY good at her job and keeping up with refills and answering all questions we had regarding menu items and everything else. Plus she made an amazing PB ice cream sundae 10/10 recommending this location!! Hopefully you get to enjoy her service as well!!

This is a rewrite of my review from my last visit to the recent visit. There was a group of us bus drivers that stopped here for breakfast. 11 of us to be exact. The male host , older gentleman, was very pissy from the get go. Got all upset over the group that came in. Asked us how many will be here , 8 is where it started , we ended up with 11. He set up enough for 8 and wouldn't even come help set up for the remaining. I had to get another waitress to help. She was struggling with the table so the male host eventually came over to help. He was too busy drinking his cup of coffee with a couple that came in before us to do his job adequately. Sighed consistently in disgust. Rolled his eyes. Gave dirty looks. Our waitress wasn't any better. Very rude. Sloppy at serving coffee and served attitude with it. Some of us wanted to order our food and she rudely commented she was just taking drink orders only. When "SHE" was ready she came back for our food orders. Needless to say , we will NOT be returning. And if someone needs a recommendation for a place to eat , I will a long with most of us from said group will NOT be recommending Valley Dairy. She did not receive a tip from half of us because of her poor attitude and service. And this is the second and last time this treatment will be tolerated by us. Whole sad part is that it was mentioned to the manager and he brushed it off to " you can't train that" meaning their attitudes. No you can't but a reprimand of some sort should have been done. None . Very disappointing.

Got lied to about having coke products and got cherry Pepsi instead of cherry coke. Amount of time to get the food a lil longer than usual. Excellent service on getting drinks. Food was about mid good soups. The country fried steak was way way to salty. Didn't get our second order of cheese and pretzels didn't get charged thankfully. Gfs fries was half cooked. Might come again heard they had gokd burgers.

Our service was amazing. My youngest has speech disorder and doesn't like going out to eat from bad experiences with waiters . I believe our service was Alexis and she was very patient with my son and held conversation when he was ordering. she really made his day .
