I do not know how we stumbled upon this place off the highway many years ago but I have been dreaming about their home made pies and clam chowder for years since the pandemic kept us from travelling. The portions are generous and everything is still as yummy as I remember :) Highly recommended and I can’t wait for our next visit :)
Overpriced. My 18.99 fish was under cooked and my side of coleslaw served in a small plastic condiment container.
We stopped with our two children . I refused to go to Ranch House. The place was very clean even the restrooms. It was decorated nicely. Our food came out quickly and was very good. We definitely would go back when in area. Not sure why it is not busy.
We had meant to stop here many times on our way south to visit family, but were never able to due to time constraints. We're very glad that we finally pulled in for a meal. The menu has a good selection of dishes, and my wife and I each found several items that us. I ordered the maple pepper chicken sandwich. The waitress said that it was quite spicy (although she did say that spicy food is not to her liking) but I found it only mildly so. However, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. My wife had a traditional gyro, which we both agreed was excellent (the tzitzaki sauce is homemade). For desert we chose the homemade baklava, which was just out-of-this-world. I grew up next door to some Greeks who made heavenly baklava, and this was better. Also we took with a piece of the triple chocolate cake, which was a nice departure from the usualy in that such things are typically really dense and heavy. This cake was much lighter and, while dark, not overly fudgy. We will definitely visit here again and try other selections from the menu.
