I meant to write this review like two months ago. This was my first full experience at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it! As section hiker of the AT, this was the perfect spot to stay the night before my hike. It’s affordable, the staff is great, and the bar atmosphere and food is wonderful! Not to mention, good beer. :-) Highly recommend The Doyle if you’re looking for a fun getaway. The locals are pretty awesome as well! Safe travels folks. Oh, photos were taken early in the morning as I was leaving for my hike.

Been here a few times for music, beer, and food. I would recommend to ask if anything is spicy... there has been a few times I ordered items that I did not expect to be spicy... and they were. Great history and architecture! . Always have a good time! The smoked salmon BLT is awesome! I also enjoy the Cuban!

I love the Doyle's restaurant. The bartender is the best in Central PA. He is very down to earth. Hopefully Cedar Cliff High will have the Reunion there.

Had a great night there. Met some friends. That seems to be like one of those bars were everybody is friends. What's really cool is if your Appalachian Trail hiker the whole bar is the trail. Some of the best wings and fries I've ever had. It was super small. The music was fantastic. My bartender was great. Can't say enough good. Meant a young man there who had just won a gold medal at the special Olympics at Villanova.

Easily one of the most welcoming places I've stayed! Quite accessible for hikers on the AT. The hotel owner and his son made sure to personally welcome us and check on us throughout our stay. They could tell our group was interested in the history of the place, so they brought us their huge scrapbook showing off the fascinating history of the charming building. This is the kind of place you go when you want to disconnect, relax, and unwind with hot food, amazing cold drinks in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. A big thank you to Don Jr for going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We really appreciate you!

We had an unforgettable stay at The Doyle Hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to Donald Jr. After seven of us came off the Appalachian Trail, we were ready for some well-earned rest—and the town of FUNCannon delivered! Donald was incredibly kind, calm, and welcoming. He made us feel completely at home, like we were relaxing in our own living room. The Doyle has such a unique charm, and Donald's hospitality took it to another level. Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without him. We’re already talking about making this an annual tradition!

I had traveled through the town here before and saw the place. I made a trip to Pennsylvania and called this motel. It's very genuine and rustic looking.. like being in a time capsule. Great people run the place..thank you Donald..a great memory
