Easily one of the most welcoming places I've stayed! Quite accessible for hikers on the AT. The hotel owner and his son made sure to personally welcome us and check on us throughout our stay. They could tell our group was interested in the history of the place, so they brought us their huge scrapbook showing off the fascinating history of the charming building. We had an unforgettable stay at The Doyle Hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to Donald Jr. After seven of us came off the Appalachian Trail, we were ready for some well-earned rest—and the town of FUNCannon delivered! Some of the best wings and fries I've ever had. It was super small. The music was fantastic. My bartender was great. Can't say enough good. Meant a young man there who had just won a gold medal at the special Olympics at Villanova.
