Ranch House Restaurant

Traditional American restaurant. This restaurant already operated for 75 years and now is managed by the 3rd/4th generations. The food is so good! We ordered a few entree(chicken bowl, 6 Oz sirloin steak, liver and onion) , the portion is big and the food is freshly made. The vegetable of the day is sautéed tomatoes and the sauce is superb!

Stopped in for the first time. Ordered the fried chicken dinner. Four pieces of chicken and two sides for $20. The chicken had to have been refried more than once. The coating was hard and the meat was tough as shoe leather. And the pieces were small. The breast was the same size as the thigh and the leg was the size of my finger. Desserts were good but too expensive for the portion received. $4.50 for a small sliver of pie.

Great home cooked , comfort food. Pleasant staff. Will stop again.

I was never here before, the food was better than I expected and the waiters were great!!! Two young & hardworking men, they seemed to love what they were doing. Good to see young kids hard at work these days, not all are.

We were traveling with our dog, and stopped for supper at the Ranch House restaurant in Duncannon. The hostess and our waitress were really sweet, and attentive. We were the only ones sitting on the porch, but it is a dog friendly place. The food was wonderful, and we will stop again! I had the Chicken Chesapeake and my husband had the Crabcake topped Steak. Both were great!
There is no picturesque view on the porch, but the food and service were worth the stop!

Just what we needed on our loooooong drive home. Coffee was surprisingly good! And had a delicious burger. Cam (Kam?) was our server and took great care of us. I learned what Petal Sauce is. Will try to stop here any time we make the trip. Completely Recommended.
