Black Horse Tavern

We have ordered take out numerous times from Fairview. Tonight we called to order. We were placed on hold. I waited 10 minutes and hung up. Drove to the bar to finally be “greeted” mind you phone still sitting off the hook by the bartender to only be told “we don’t do takeout”. First off she didn’t know why I was calling and secondly she proceeded to walk away. I will NEVER go back.

I've visited here a few times and have always been impressed and left satisfied. Pretty large menu with most of your basic bar food as well as some unique items. I usually get wings and some type of sandwich. The wings are decent size but some type need more sauce but it's easy enough to ask for more. They have London Broil cheese steaks that are pretty good and my recommendation. Service is hit or miss as regulars are usually getting the attention of the bartenders. Wait time for food can be slow at times as well.

So we ordered our food and I was so disappointed with the temperature and how soft and soggy everything was couldn't even eat the food we had to go somewhere else. I felt so inbarist because I was the one who had my friends come there telling them the food was great now they won't let me choose a bar to go out to

Bartenders and bar are great and we've gone here a lot especially for the wings and all other food. However recently the food has not been that good. My wife ordered a special and it wasn't until my food came out that the cooks told us they were out of the special. She order a rap thinking it would be quick which it was and the chicken was good but it was drenched in hot sauce and fell apart immediately. Another time we went and tried chicken pot pie which the filling was very good but the crust was just barely cooked past doughy. The fries (loaded killer) which we always get and are usually so good recently barely came out with any cheese but was grossly loaded up with all other items. I've been coming here forever and always rave about the food but recently it's been missing.

Love all the Blackhorse locations. Fantastic service.. Great food.. only thing this location is lacking is a few shifts from Michelle. The people of this bar would love to see her here ?

Gave the bartender $20 for a $8.25 tab, she gave back $4.75 and quickly walked away.This is the first time I have been in this establishment. The bar is super nice but you can not steal from customers that way. I will not be going back

decent food, cheep beers, nice bartenders, decent crowd.Only gripe is sometimes some schmo loads the jukebox up with terrible music.
