Food was delicious and healthy choices are available. Brussel sprouts! Seafood! Black bean burger option! Our server, Tony, was knowledgable, efficient, and very engaging. The food is always excellent. Cocktails delicious. We love the old tavern building. Wonder what it looked like 150 years ago or more.
Lovely experience for our 35th wedding anniversary. Wonderful food and atmosphere. Although it was rather chilly inside. A cozy fireplace would put it over the top. I recommend Sidney's highly.
Okay by now you guys know I rate an establishment by the level the place wishes to be. I have very mixed feelings on this place. Price point, it still needs work to be considered high end fine dining. But its almost there. When it's dark out( like it is in December after 5pm) there's no way for you to be able to tell where you're going to get in the establishment. From the parking lot you view the kitchen door and a unusable veranda (because of the cold). There's no front entrance guide or lighting to pull you towards the front door, once in the building there is no Hostess station no persons to greet you. Fortunately a young lady quickly came up to us and asked if we had reservations. I would highly recommend this if you wish to have a quiet experience. The dining areas are very loud when different groups are talking. This is probably because of the Contemporary artwork and high ceilings do not let any sound absorption. Someone even ask to be moved to another room because it was too loud. The artwork with the old historical building was just as odd as the peas in the same dish with the sausage, gnocchi, roasted vegetables over a squash puree. The gnocchi and puree were the winners of the dish as the spicy sausage bits were charred crispy. The long list of available beverages exceeded the list of items on the menu. And just seemed seasonal cocktails should have been kept to pair with the seasonal menu. This establishment did not feel like a Tavern at all. But you felt like you were Swept Away art gallery where food was a secondary thought totally not a fan of this matchup a beautiful historical building with a rustic name and if I may say, just ugly artwork. Maybe artwork of local landscapes would have been an aesthetically warmer presentation.
The waitress asked us multiple times if we had been there before, had not once told us what the Specialties of establishment were or where to find the toiletries should we need the washroom. But she was pleasant and polite.
All in all I do think that this place has tons of potential. maybe eating outside on The Veranda when it's warm out would be more suited to my tastes of atmosphere then the modge podge inside.
Bonus.... this is an adorable part of town which is very walkable for a stroll before or after your meal

Met friends for a Friday night dinner. Brad was our waiter, he was very attentive and
friendly. I had the artic char, it was delicious. Two had the striped bass, and one had the bolognese - everyone was pleased with their meals. Dessert- crème brûlée very good! We will be back.

This was our first time visiting Sidney, although the couple that accompanied us has been there a handful of times before. We each got a different entree, and all four were just delicious! Three of the four also devoured their escargot as an appetizer, so clearly that was a hit. We will definitely be back!
Love this place. Elevated dining. As a good cook, I appreciate being taken care of with consistently great cocktails and flavorful meals. My fav meal to date is the arctic char. And, interestingly...the burger comes in second. Both done with perfect execution and great flavor. It's pricey...but for me, it's worth it. Thank you, Chef!
The food is exquisite and is matched by exquisite service. This is easily our favorite restaurant! Thanks for another memorable dining experience! - Leslie Marqua
Sidney was fabulous as always! The menu is very interesting and creative and everything is beautifully presented. The waitstaff is professional, efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. One of our favorite dining spots!
Food outstanding. No sound dampening all hard surfaces. Three items asked for were out of.
This was our first time at Sydney's and we had an amazing experience. Brad was an excellent server and we will definitely be back. We were looking for an upscale fine dining experience and this was perfect.

Pate to start was excellent..The short ribs were awesome, very tender and flavorful!! Also the soy glazed fish was delicious! To finish the Homemade Banana ice cream a perfect ending.
Food was great! Service was very good! Presentation was a 5 star and you are paying for it. Not my usual atmosphere but it was a special occasion!
