My wife and I travel around the country living in vacation rentals. While in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, we came across this Diner. It's more like a New York type Diner than any place we've been in our travels. My wife have the French onion soup, and I had fish and chips. The French onion soup was very good according to my wife, and the Fish and Chips were okay. I asked for the french fries to be well done, and they were barely done. The fish however what's good.
The environment was what you would expect from a diner, so no surprises there. The service was very good, we were seated immediately, ain't that plenty of time to review the menu. The prices were pretty good as well.

We were a large party that walked in on a Sunday around noon. We didnt have to wait too long considering how large our party was, but we did wait a while for our food to come out. And when it did come out, many of us did not like our dishes. The chicken for every chicken dish was dry. The disco fries had a large chunk of cheese thrown on top. The nachos came out when everyone else was almost done eating and it was missing ingredients. The water/ice tasted funny. All other parties around us seemed to be enjoying their dishes and having a good time though. So maybe they just can’t handle large parties (10 people).

Our food came out really quickly and was absolutely delicious; great portions, and actual good biscuits and sawmill gravy (not like most of the stuff I've had since moving up north), fantastic pancakes and mad crispy home fries.
On top of everything, a huge meal for the two of us was like $30!
In short, you should definitely eat here. We'll be making this a regular spot when we come up here for our river trips. 🙂

It is dirty, the water tasted sour, the food was very low quality, my chicken in my salad was hard, rubbery, double cooked, and the lettuce was dirty, the atmosphere was ok but many people smoking around . It was not a good experience except our waitress was extremely nice, kind, great with our kids and lovely. Only redeeming thing about this place.

Omelets seem pre-made, they throw toppings in the middle, fold it, then toppings on top. I've never seen that in my 35 years. Potatoes were way too burned n crunchy a small hard black piece stabbed my gums (both times I've been there). I did feel hostility from the staff both times. Still I leave a tip on the total and left the tip line blank assuming they can do math. But no they made me go back to do the math myself and write the amount of the tip (both times!!) like seriously? Get your staff a calculator. Bad service and food wasn't great either.
