Werry's Cottages Motel & Pub by OYO East Stroudsburg Poconos

Good for a short trip but ….Really requires someone to do the room service. In our 10 days it got cleaned only once. The water flow was so slow it took ages for one person to shower.

Fridge is full of food and can’t even use it! Room is very outdated! Kids running around and screaming! Never again!!!

By far one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed! If it wasn’t out of necessity I wouldn’t be caught dead in a place like Werry’s. It looks okay from the outside. Once in the room we saw first hand that no one actually cleans the rooms or cares about the guest. Room 1 was disgusting to the point I had to bring cleaning supplies and bought new bedding for us. The bed spread had blood stains. The once white sheets had previous guests stains and hair still on them. The floor is rotting and so dirty that walking barefoot outside would be cleaner than the room floor. Bugs glued to the stained walls. Cobwebs in every corner, ants took over! Flying ants landed on your face while you slept. The air conditioner was covered in black mold and poured puddles of water on the floor if ran all day. The water was rusty in both facet and shower occasionally smelled like sulfur. There was feces wiped on the wall where the toilet paper roll hangs. The power goes out if you charge your phone and turn the microwave on while the light is also on. Some of the staff need hospitality training on how to speak and treat ppl ESPECIALLY PAYING GUEST. There is no WiFi but they will lie and tell you a repair man has been called to fix the issue. Even give you a fake login for the nonexistent WiFi. It’s loud all of the time you find full time tenants smoking weed and getting drunk outside their rooms with their speakers playing music and kids running around most of the day and night. I could literally continue to add to this review but instead of wasting more of my time and yours just stay some where with a 4 star review instead.

Dirty outdated customer service is non existent

I Am BEYOND upset that I can NOT get in touch with some type of help being as though I was a guest here. There is no DIRECT number to this location and no one to speak to on the property

This place deserves 0 stars. Booked and paid for 2 rooms through the OYÓ app, but when we arrived to check in we were told “sorry to tell you, we only have 1 room”. The reason we paid in advance was to ensure the rooms we needed. BIG mistake cause now I can’t get anyone from OYÓ to get back to me regarding a refund. So in a crunch had to book elsewhere. But this isn’t the only reason why this place gets 0 stars, it is old, felt unsafe, dirty, and had people hanging around everywhere drinking and smoking. I will never recommend this place or OYÓ to anyone.

Good people..

They have cabin rentals listed on every travel website. Yet there only way to rent a cabin is a one year lease. They list them online as furnished. Just another lie. Expedia contacted them and the property owner, Sam feels he doesn't have to adhere to the cancellation policy listed online and I was charged $912 for a rental that according to Werry's is not even a rental option. I stopped to visit the property and the bartender explained the cabins are only one year leases and not furnished. Yet Werry's has every cabin listed online as fully furnished and available. Someone is lying and it's hard to think that's it's the numerous travel sites. The only common denominator is Sam and his property. My bank account is overdrawn $300 because of this business. What makes Sam think he's entitled to other people's money? Beware of this property. And the funny thing is...I stopped by a reputable business I frequent and mentioned my issue with Werry's and low and behold that business owner has a terrible experience as well.

UPDATE to be fair: Sam, the owner did attempt to call me and is willing to resolve this so I added a second star to my review and will add additional comments as necessary.

Stayed here for one night after skiing at Shawnee Mountain. From the start it was a terrible experience. We opened the door to our non-smoking room and were welcomed by the strong stench of cigarettes. Walking further into our room, we found ash from the aforementioned cigarette on the neatly made bed. The beds are also very old, thin, and feel like you will fall through them at any given moment. As for the bathroom, you are provided two toddler sized towels that were once white and are now grey and stained. The bath water was also incredibly foggy and yellow. While this is close to Shawnee Mountain, for just under $100 a night, you are being scammed.

I strongly advise against staying here.

Have stayed here a few nights while I was in town on some business and it's been a great little hotel. It's old and it shows, but its quirky and the rooms are clean and looked after. It is attached to a pub so it can get a bit noisy at night but not late into the night so you don't sleep. The staff has been friendly and nice and I would come back here again for sure :)

Walkability: It's close to the main grocery store in this area so you can easily walk there and back if you needed to.

Had a one night stay. When out at 2am to the local wawa. And unfortunately I lost my room key. Since there is no front desk because everything is run through it's bar that closes at 2am. There was no one to assist me to go back in my room. I had to spend the night in my car. The answering and customer service were useless they kept on transferring me numbers that would not answer. Never go there. If you have an emergency your on your own 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬

One of the worst places I’ve stayed. The bar was the only redeeming quality about this place. Thin walls, weird smells, strange tenants, awkward parking, the list goes on.

worst motel ever over price to stay and says family friendly where. rooms are nasty smells like cigarettes, ac throwing hot air and it’s already hot in the rooms, shower was with spiders bathroom full of flys couldn’t sleep bed felt nasty it actually deserves no star horrible people leaving cups from the bar on the floor by the rooms not recommended

The absolute worst customer service Ever !!! Had a room reservation confirmation @ 3 days ago through OYO. Go to hotel , actually to the bar to check in , only to be told by the nasty ugly fat rude bartender that the rooms are sold out & your reservation is meaningless and she proceeds to just walk away. When I contact OYO they say they can’t get in touch with the hotel , the nasty ugly fat rude bartender then tells me there phone lines are down. I tell OYO I will hand the phone for them to speak to the nasty ugly fat rude hotel clerk & OYO refuses and says they must call them directly. OYO says they will escalate this issue and call us back immediately within 15 minutes to rectify this situation. Now 3 hours later still NO phone call from OYO. The worst customer service EVER in person and phone center in India !!!!!!
