No sign outside to let you know it's name. No ambiance inside. Waitress left tiers and never said what was on the tiers. Scones were cold and dry. Food was not pleasing. Definitely over priced for the tea service. Will not go back. She could learn a few things from other tea rooms like Forney House whose food and service is awesome.

Three words... STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING. My wife and I go once or twice a year and we always have a great time. Excellent selection of teas. As usual, the sandwhiches were tasty and the deserts a little slice of heaven. We always end up taking some home bc we can't eat it all and still have room for the freshly made warm sticky toffee pudding. Regardless of the theme, whether hogwarts, christmas or just a random day for tea it is always an experience we gladly repeat.

Another wonderful afternoon tea was served recently at Manchester Teas and Tarts. One of the owners is from England.
A traditional British tea is served here!

The atmosphere is relaxing. The owners strive to make afternoon tea an enjoyable experience. They are very attentive and accommodating.

A wide variety of teas is available and served in lovely teapots. Guests could have as much tea as they wanted so they were able to try different teas. The tables are set with china plates and cups. One table was set with my favorite Royal Albert pattern, Sweet Violet.

An abundance of food is served including tea sandwiches, scones and sweets.
The sandwiches were delicious! They included Coronation Chicken, Cheese and Branston Pickle and Cucumber and Tzatziki.

The scones were served warn right out of the oven! There was real clotted cream, freshly made lemon curd and strawberry jam to spread on the them. Each person got two scones. They always serve one traditional British scone and one flavored scone.

There were three sweets and then sticky toffee pudding served with warm custard.
Unfinished goodies can be packed up in take away containers that the ladies provide so the can be enjoyed later at home.

It is always an enjoyable experience to have tea with Manchester Teas and Tarts. They sometimes have theme teas such as Downton Abbey and Harry Potter. There are also teas near holidays like Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day.

The owners snd staff help to create the atmosphere by dressing up for these teas. The son of one of the owners is the perfect Harry Potter! He is a very good actor and stays in character for the whole tea as he interacts with customers. More fun is created with trivia on tea or the theme.

Even regular teas are special at Manchester Teas and Tarts! I highly recommend them!

Best afternoon tea ever!!! The food was amazing. Scones were hot and fresh with REAL clotted cream. The desserts were the perfect size and all different from each other. Lots of teas to choose from!

We went to their Christmas tea event this weekend and I can't recommend them for large volume tea events. We previously had a very nice experience when it was staggered reservations. It took 45 minutes just to receive tea and 1.5 hours for food. There were not enough people to serve for the volume of customer. Others left and we probably should have too. At 3 hours left money on the table and left, still hadn't received the check. Never received silverware or a tea refill, although the food was good.

We ate in a huge room with chandeliers. The tables were set with lovely China. This was by far the best tea fare I have had with two warm offerings. A great value.

Parking: There is a lot behind the museum where we ate.
