This is a great place to eat; the setting is quite romantic. My cousin and I were heading to a diner a few doors down as we were starving, but their menu didn't have what we were looking for, so we went for pizza at this pizzaria. La Piovra (Italian for "The Octopus") is more than a pizza place; it has delicious Italian dishes. We ordered mussels in the chef's special sauce that's better than the traditional red & white sauces. We had European seabass called "branzino"; the meat had a sweet taste with few bones. Of course, we also ordered a pizza with truffle cheese, which we didn't finish, so we packed it for his kids. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Because we were the ones there that late Thursday evening, we got to speak with the chef and his wife. They're overseeing the restaurant for the owner. They speak Italian fluently and from Albania. Absolutely amazing chef and super delicious food. I highly recommend this gem. On some Fridays and the weekends, there's a live band performing in Italian.Parking: There's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant but we parked on the street, for free. There are paid street parking adjacent to the businesses.

My husband and I enjoy dinner at La Piovra every single week. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent. We particularly love the Greek salad as a starter accompanied by either the tender, grilled calamari or the incredibly flavorful mussels (served with a light, flagrant, homemade red sauce); followed by either the super fresh and expertly grilled whole fish, the delicious burgers with home made fries, the tender chicken skewers or perhaps one of the classic pasta specials as a main. This place is a neighborhood gem! And, of course, the wood-fired pizza is superb! We rarely order dessert anywhere but tried one of theirs and it was divine. Highly recommend!

I had dinner at La Piovra for the first time and it was a wonderful meal. The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place and will be back.

We love La Piovra! The staff is always friendly, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is adorable. What a neighborhood gem. Our favorites include the Greek salad, souvlaki, whole fish, and the beets, but everything we've had has been great! Prices are reasonable and it's BYO.

I didn't even know this place existed but was thrilled to discover it. The fish I had was delicious. My mother loves lamb chops and said hers were delicious too. The bread strips were tasty. I'm glad we went there. Right off of the train station.

We just finished a meal here. Delicious! Menu is Greek, Albanian, Mediterranean. We had Greek Salad, pizza, beets, potatoes, grilled calamari, souvlaki, and spinach. I would definitely recommend it. Called and ordered for delivery. They did not take any of my information down. I called back to give them my address. They said they don’t offered delivery even though on the website and on Google it says delivery. Woman on the phone said why can’t I come get it if I’m too far away. I said you advertised that you deliver, she said she doesn’t know who does the online stuff. I like supporting small and local businesses. I will not be supporting this business. This would have been our first time ordering from this place. Safe to say we won’t order again.
