Called at 1:45p on Saturday....went straight to voicemail. Decided to drive to the restaurant to order in person....the place is dark and although the sign says "open," no one is here. Their food is usually AMAZING and My husband and I have been looking forward to this all week. Are y'all open??? No message on the voicemail indicates otherwise. Let folks know! Hope all is well.

I said I’d give them another try and I did…stay away…I ordered fish, cole slaw and Mac and cheese…never again…the fish was the star of the show (a bit salty, but still good,)…horrible mac and cheese, taste like nothing but garlic and was truly a glob of coagulated noodles and eggs…the slaw is old, limp, made with lettuce, some cabbage and vinegar…a basic slaw dressing recipe requires vinegar and sugar, this dressing is alllll vinegar…so disappointed…not real sure where everyone else is eating for the glowing reviews but each time I’ve eaten here everything but the fish is trashed, including this hard slice of bread??♀️??

Just ordered from DoorDash and they gave me the wrong food. I ordered wings dings. Potato Salad and Cabbage. They gave me 4 chicken wings and unseasoned yams. Royal Zarasa your on a time out. This is not the first time this has happened. If you don’t have the items that are on listed on DD don’t have them available for people to select and they you give them what you want them to have. Tried calling multiple time just to be connected to a mailbox that’s full. You need to take care of that as well. SMH. Just unacceptable. Do better.

This place is the real deal. The service is great, the food is great, and good portions.The wait was not long, either.I’ll be back for sure.And when I got home, it made the trip well worth it.
Parking: Parking is limited, but that should not be a deterrent. The food is worth it.

We have visited a few times but I don't think I have left a review.The food is always delicious, well seasoned and made with love. The staff is kind and feel like family. We don't get to visit very often, but its always enjoyable when we do.Lemon pepper wings and fried shrimp are my favorite but the fried fish is good too. Mac and cheese is delicious, greens are great and the potato salad is quite enjoyable. Pricing is fair considering food quality and warm atmosphere.
I finally had a chance to try this place out and I was not disappointed. It was really good. They give a really nice portion of food. It was enough for two people in my opinion. I got Mac n cheese , yams and salmon. And it was all good, especially the macaroni . Customer service was very pleasant and we barely had to wait for our food which was a shock because normally food at soul food restaurants take hours. My only con about the place was that I couldn’t find a menu online to see what they actually sell and see prices beforehand but maybe I missed it. Also I wish they had later hours on Fridays. Other than that we will surely be back again. This restaurant is takeout only so no dining in. But I’m fine with that.

Food so good, make you wanna slap your mama!Seriously though, tried the biscuits in the car with a friend. We looked at each other, and drove back to buy the rest of them. The fried fish is perfectly seasoned, and the fish itself was moist. The collard greens are perfectly cooked. The yams taste like lightly sweated yams with some cinnamon, and not straight sugar. The woman at the desk (the owner?) is so sweet and has the most relaxing voice, I thought she was an automatic machine on the phone. Overall, and solid 10/10. Will definitely be back! I must try the breakfast now!
