We just happened to find it while visiting family in town. From the minute we walked in we loved it. From the environment to the food and especially the employees everything was great! Would highly recommend stopping in. When I go back to Ellwood City it will be my first stop!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely delightful breakfast experience!

From the moment we sat down, the service was warm and welcoming. We ordered the pancakes and the stuffed French toast, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The pancakes were fluffy, golden, and topped with just the right amount of butter and powdered sugar — simple but perfect. The French toast was next level — loaded with strawberries and piled high with whipped cream, it was indulgent in the best way possible.

What really stood out was the kindness of our waitress. I asked about the biscuits, and even though they don’t normally sell them individually, she brought us a couple anyway — completely unprompted and incredibly thoughtful. That small gesture alone made our morning. And for the record, those biscuits were heavenly — soft, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good.

It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the people make you feel so at home. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near Ellwood City!

Tucked away in a cozy corner of the city, Breaking Bread is the kind of spot that feels like a warm hug the second you walk in. From the name alone, I expected homestyle cooking — and it delivered way more than that.

The food was absolutely delicious! My friend and I had their specials and split them. Strawberry pretzel waffle and a french toast sandwich. Both were yummy! Our server was very nice too!

I was looking for brunch and this place did the trick! I had French toast bacon and home fries. Everything was wonderful the waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself is a great diner vibe. The owner walked around and treated everyone. They had a classic black and white movie playing in the background. They really make you feel like home in this restaurant very welcoming and warm in all interactions. I throughly enjoyed this place even as a solo diner.

Writing this while very hungover, which makes it all the more legit. This place hit the spot. I ordered the classic American breakfast: eggs, bacon, hash browns, and French toast. The ingredient quality was top-tier, and the portion size made it absolutely worth the price. My server was cracking jokes with the owner but still super attentive, and the inside gives off that cozy, classic diner vibe. Exactly what I needed.

We'd drive hours for this and we would have to, give we were in the neighborhood for the Racetrack. This place seems homey, local, busy but unassuming. Huge delicious pancakes, SPAM in my omelet, and mush on the menu (next time, maybe?). It's a nice find and the servers and cooks are super friendly - thanks for a great brunch.
