This place was recommended by my uncle who we were visiting in Coaldale. He was spot on about the potato cakes being the best he's ever had.
I was actually impressed by the overall quality and taste of the food for the reasonable prices. Typical amusement park food tends to be mediocre and pricey but not these guys.
We were visiting from the Chicago area and to begin with, Knoebel's was the first attraction on our list of to-go places. Free parking, free admission and delicious grub.
This past July was the first time since 2011 visiting PA and my wife & kids' first time ever. Not sure when we'll be back but Knoebel's is definitely a must when visiting eastern PA.

Potato cakes are of course delicious! The hidden gem is the pizza rolls. We tried them over the weekend and actually think we liked them more then the potato cake!

Let's be honest here: there is absolutely nothing nutritionally redeeming about this place, but it is oh so good. Fried potato cakes will help make sure you gain weight while walking around the park all day.
