First and last time. We ordered online, not a single person here ordered mayonaise, oil, or anything like that. The people at the Hive got the order in plain text, there's no arguing for misunderstanding. And they messed up. Mayo on everything. I don't know how you can screw up a plain hoagie, but they did.
They're closed now, so we got a dinner no one here is going to eat. We won't be back.

Honestly it was all about the ROLL, which was WONDERFUL. Veg ingredients inside the roll really needed SALT, and I rarely feel the need to add salt to food. What kept me eating veg half size hoagie was that roll. Apparently it was made by Egypt Star Bakery, which is right next door.

The Hive is a nice sandwich spot in Emmaus. It's easy to pass since it's not directly on the strip. But If you find your way there you won't be disappointed. I had the $10 lunch special. Honestly, it was worth it! It came with a sandwich can of soda and a bag of chips.
The sandwich was good and full! (I added black olives on mine which is extra) and I was not disappointed. The bread had a nice firm crust on the outside and soft on the inside. (Not that firm that cuts your gums as you bite into it) There was a good meat-to-lettuce ratio and it wasn't overloaded with condiments. I asked for the works just because it was my first time and I wanted to experience it all.
I would definitely recommend The Hive and I will be going back

Sent my husband to pick me up a Cubano panini and cheddar mac salad well only half of the panini made it back lol. Best Cubano Panini in the Valley. Cheddar mac aka Crack mac is a must have!!

I had a great time at the HIVE this evening! I ordered the 11” Italian and it was delicious! The sandwich was massive and could definitely feed two people! Awesome vibe, great customer service, and overall a nice little shop! Well worth the stop!
Parking: The street parking right in front of the shop was only 30min so I had to park in the triangle lot which was a little walk away.

cute downtown hoagie shop! atmosphere is very welcoming, the lady who took my order was very sweet! i ordered a tuna hoagie and a side of coleslaw. the only 2 negative things to say is that the coleslaw was very sweet (however, has a great crunch) and the pickles on my hoagie were sweet which aren’t my preference. will continue to support small!
