I wanted to treat my niece & her cheerleading friends but the game ran past Kristy’s closing time. They stayed open & took good care of the girls. Service above & beyond is just 1 reason to love Kristy’s. Their ice cream rocks is another!
Best ice cream in the country
Kristy's Whistle Stop is a hidden gem!
For around $40, we got a cheesesteak, a pulled pork sandwich (which one of my kids said was the best of her life), two orders of fries, a soft serve cone, a small ice cream, and a waffle sundae—and every bite was amazing. The portion sizes were generous, the place smelled incredible when we walked in, and everything came out quickly. The service was warm and friendly, and the whole place was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
We’ll definitely be coming back—this spot is a winner!
We have yet to have more than ice cream, but seeing others the food looks great. For the soft ice cream it is the best in the area. Portions are generous and their four regular flavors are chocolate, vanilla, raspberry and peanut butter, with the last two making a PB&J combination. A long list of hard ice creams are also available. The prices should embarrass the competition.
Went here for the first time tonight with my partner who has been there many times. The peanut butter sundae we had was awesome. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely go back to try their sandwiches and platters after seeing some of them being them delivered to customers. If you are in the mood for ice cream I would stop here if you are in the area. Keep up the good work!!
Classic burgers and ice-cream.
The food never disappoints.
What a great place with an old-time vibe. Friendly staff and their ice cream sandwiches are huge. Nice shaded patio for ice cream on a hot day. Remember to mark the stop on the Cumberland Vally Ice Cream Trail app.
Love this place. Large variety of Ice Cream Sundays. Nice out door seating area. Parking can be a little frustrating when super busy, but worth the effort.

Had a pecan sundae. The pecan pie was a solid six at best, and I’ve eaten some good pies across the states. It was served with a very large amount of bland vanilla soft serve. The caramel topping and nuts didn’t add that much to it. Would have rather gotten twice the amount of pie and a smaller bit of soft serve.
If you’re up for some normal soft serve with toppings and not expecting much, this place won’t disappoint.

Stopped here on the way home from a camping trip on a whim. Now I want to plan another trip just to come back!
The staff are very friendly and actually seem to enjoy serving people. The food is cheap, the portions are GARGANTUAN and everything was very fresh and very tasty.
The ice cream is no different. Portions are giant and the selection is endless. I recommend the Tandy cake hurricane!
My only complaint was that parking was sort of difficult since the place was so packed. Overall, I had a great time and really, really recommend it!
