What a pity, my friends and I paid for the tasting experience and the chef cancelled on us 24 hours after insisting that we prepay in full for our dinner. When he cancelled because he injured his foot, he promised that we could come in at any time or that he would gladly do an in home experience for the 500 we paid. He has refused to honor that, saying that he is booked solid through July, then that his car is broken down and he has 32.00 to his name and not enough to pay for the food to make the dinner. Simultaneously he posts on social media from Ohio Pyle that he is foraging, not a small fear for someone who claims to be unable to take a booking due to auto issues. He is ripping us off for $500.00 and simultaneously asking people to PayPal him for more in home dinners. I would not give this person money as he will not honor the obligation to provide the food experience that you are paying for. We are currently disputing the charges and will likely have to explore legal options to get a refund. It’s such a shame because I think that the chef is talented but something is very wrong when you are begged to pay in advance for meals. Shame on him.
Wonderful Saturday night out! We had a fantastic time in the comfortable chairs and romantic ambiance in Seasons. Focusing on local foods and sustainability is important to me and Chef David goes above and beyond. Each course is beautifully plated, locally sourced and delicious! One of the best restaurants in the city, highly recommend.
It's very clear that David, the chef, is passionate about his craft and wow is he talented! Everything is sourced locally and presented to perfection. The chef is forthcoming, will answer any questions, and will accommodate any diet - you're definitely paying for personalized service. This is an ideal place for a special date night, anniversary, birthday, or other event. There are a few kinks to work out - namely more staff is needed - but I'm sure that'll change with time as this is a newer restaurant. If you're open minded, love trying new things, and really want to immerse yourself in a totally unique Pittsburgh experience, then head over to Season's right now.
A chef who goes out of his way to try to deliver a meal of local produce and great flavour combinations.
Highly, highly recommend. Chef David was phenomenal. We came on an evening where his waiter had called off, so he had to cook and serve by himself, and he did so with a smile. Everything on the menu was fresh and unique. He explained the food items in detail, and you could tell how proud he was of his dishes. The service was great. Loved the vibe of the space. He creates a dining experience that is so unique in Pittsburgh, and we will certainly be back!
We had the restaurant week special with the wine pairing early this week and it was absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was amazing with so much attention to detail, and it was great to hear David's explanation of each course and where all the ingredients came from. Every ingredient had a cool story, from the goat milk he got from a farmer who showed up on his doorstep a few months ago to the apple cider vinegar that he ferments every autumn. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion dinner.
Me and my friends went here for restaurant week and I felt bad because the chef was cooking and serving the food since his scheduled server called in sick. Although there was a wait before we got seated, the food was excellent!! The food quality was not compromised given the situation and everyone was so happy! The attention to detail of every dish was unbelievable and the flavors were just having a party in my mouth, hahaha!
Tonight I had the restaurant week special meal and it was brilliant. I had the opportunity to try so many wonderful things. Chef David was beyond wonderful. Professional, happy to answer any questions I had, and paired the wind beautifully. I will be returning and sending my clients. As a woman who has had the pleasure eating and drinking and some of the best places in the world I truly think Seasons not only has a really special experience in store for you, but the heart to back it up.
What a gem of a restaurant in Etna, PA (neighborhood of Pittsburgh). David, chef trained at famous French Laundry has presented us with a fantastic feast as we selected the Grand tasting option on the Menu. We had a mouthwatering dishes that have had fresh daily locally sourced produce and meats plus many spices and unique ingredients were grown by chef in his own garden. This restaurant is the best kept secret in Pittsburgh, so find it and be delighted. A very different dining experience where you can spend time, even few hours, enjoying food, drinks with your friends and very welcoming chef that dazzles your senses.
David is a ‘flavor master’, as the couple next to me described him. I agree! Each course will surprise and delight both your eyes and tastebuds. Look forward to going back.

My wife and I went there for our 6th Anniversary. We like to choose different establishments each year to try. Seasons was incredible from start to finish. I called and left a message for a reservation. Shortly after that, I received a text from David confirming the reservation and he sent me some info about the meal options. My wife has the wine pairing with her meal and David offered a beer pairing for me (it was not listed on the menu). I appreciated the beer selections and my wife loved the wine pairings. The server was extremely knowledgeable and explained each dish and why the drinks were paired with each dish. Oh, and the food was absolutely incredible! Excellent experience from start to finish. If you enjoy great food, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service, you need to check out Seasons!
Delicious, totally local food in a cool and comfortable atmosphere. We went with the 8 course vegetarian and enjoyed being surprised with every beautiful, creative dish. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable service. Fabulous.
Such an incredible experience! Went here for a holiday dinner with friends & we absolutely loved the food & atmosphere. The attention to detail in every course was evident as each bite was delicious & flavorful. The ingredients are all local and we could tell by how good everything tasted. The service was amazing. Dom was extremely knowledgeable and was working so hard to make our experience perfect. It’s definitely a splurge for a special occasion but 100% worth every penny! Also huge plus that is it byo! Can’t wait to return.
Dining at Seasons is a singularly delightful experience and one that is rare in Pittsburgh. A series of astonishingly flavorful, skillfully prepared, and pleasingly served courses delight the palate. We dined with friends and all enjoyed every course. Having service staff that were deeply knowledgeable about the menu items and the wine pairings added to this memorable experience. Don't save this for a special occasion! Go and enjoy a leisurely meal with loved ones and friends. This level of skill in cooking and service tax is important to support in Pittsburgh!
Wonderful night of fine dining out in Etna. Chef David brings an impressive resume and a personalized dining experience which comes highly recommended. Standout dishes were the cucumber in multiple preparations and the chanterelles with truffle and caramelized cream. Looking forward to more creations from the garden and beyond!
