I rarely post reviews but grabbed some takeout on a whim and everything was the best bbq I've had in the area. If you like bark, they do it right! Pork, brisket, and even sausage were fantastic. Corn bread, slaw and beans for the win too. The only negative was 3 tiny chicken tenders in the order for my child but was ok as she now realizes she likes bbq. We will definitely be back to this local gem!

They just catered an event for me and did a PHENOMENAL job! Everyone raved about the food and asked where it was from. Tyler was great in helping me with the menu. If you haven’t tried it yet, DO IT!

The food and service have exceeded expectations every time we have eaten in the restaurant or taken food to go. The beer and smoked meats provide a true Texas BBQ experience.

We went here for the first time for trivia. We had a great time. The food and drink selections are excellent. It was fairly busy, so you may have a little wait. The atmosphere is friendly and fun.Parking: Parking is right out front.

Gave this place a try last night and had a great experience! It was a busy Saturday evening and we arrived right at dinner time. The place was busy with a full bar and some folks ahead of us at the door. Despite the crowd, the hostess gave us a choice of tables and we picked one a bit away from the live music that was about to start. We had a little wait after being seated which gave us a chance to peruse the draft list and menu. They have about ten in-house beers with a good variety from lager to stout so something for everyone. They do flights of four which allowed me to sample a few and also let my wife taste one before ordering a glass. My favorite was the Appalachian Pale ale. We got the Buffalo chicken dip to share with the table which was great. I ordered a platter which allowed choice of two meats and two sides. The ribs were amazing with meat falling off the bone! Beans and Mac and cheese on the side tasted as good as they looked. The owner/pit-master came over to check on us and shared a bit about the origin and setup. They have a brand new tanking system onsite. This is a real family business and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Almost forgot to mention they do growler fills - yours or one available for purchase on site. Enjoy!

Fried pickles were definitely homemade. From the pickling up. They didn't have too much batter, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The beer options were nice. A bit for everyone with changing options. We ordered Sammie's - pork & brisket. Meats were cold but hope it was a one time off thing. The brisket did have a nice smoke ring to it. The nachos were also cold and the cheese curdled pretty quickly. Service was amazing and so we would come back and give them another try based on beer options and the service.

Went for lunch around 1:00. Sandwiches were good but the fries were reheated and the oil needed changed. I also would have liked the fries to be hand cut. The brew was good. Might try again.

When you pull up to a BBQ shop you expect to see or smell a smoker outside. Not here, they must use an electric smoker of some sort to try and get the job done. Got the sampler like I always do when I go to a new BBQ shop. When the brisket came out without a smoke ring I knew I was in trouble. Service was great, ambiance was good, price was high for the quality, food was very meh. I wouldn't waste your appetite here.

Had a wonderful meal at Back Home. Enjoyed some beers I normally wouldn't get and shared the beast feast, which is a no brainer choice in my mind! Everyone else we were with also enjoyed their meals! Not super close by but will stop again given the opportunity.Parking: Plenty of parking in lot.Kid-friendliness: Brought baby in carseat, stroller would be better.

This is a great place! My wife and I have been wanting to stop and we were not disappointed! Great BBQ food and great beer selection! They had a band which was great. Also was very clean and well laid out. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great! The only minor complaint was the owner was behind the bar most of the time we sat there and she never said a word to us. I'd expect that for a place like this, she would have been friendlier and put customer service first.

Our family's recent visits to this nearby BBQ spot left us thoroughly impressed. Despite a crowded first visit, the staff, especially the kind and accommodating waitress Lindsay, made us feel welcome at the bar with our two hungry daughters. Their flexibility and attention to our multiple top 9 allergies were commendable. On the second visit, Tyler ensured our daughter's dietary needs were met, adding a personal touch to our experience. The food, a hit with our allergen friendly eater, has our daughter constantly requesting a return. With a family-friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, and delicious options catering to various dietary needs, we highly recommend this BBQ gem. Looking forward to our next visit!Dietary restrictions: Allergy friendly options!Kid-friendliness: Kid Friendly atmosphere, menu, and staff
