Stay away from the Dolly Madison room. It's incredibly small and tight. There's a sink right next to the bed. The bathroom is very tiny and uncomfortable. The walls (not just in the room) are paper thin - you can hear EVERYTHING, other guests, toilet flushing, bathroom fan running, people walking in the hallway outside the room, everything.
There was no air conditioning the first day/night we were there. We were told that it was too expensive to run every day. Can you believe that? They did turn on the air conditioning the second day/night of our stay, but that was because we complained and the temperature was going up into the 90s that day.
If you're unable to run this place like a real hotel/inn, then maybe it's better to not open at all.
Great service. Duck, short ribs. Rack of lamb. Mushroom soup. Dessert were all amazing. Great country in historic setting with dedicated employees. Couplement to the Chef and Mgr.
The Durling Kurtz Inn always delivers the best. We had lamb chops and there were superb. Perfectly prepared with a fine wine reduction sauce. The service was excellent and the waiter was just the right balance of responsive but in no way intrusive. I would highly recommend the Inn for any kind of dinner, but certainly a special occasion.
My first time dining here and was a bit disappointed based upon friends recommendations. I ordered the Scallops and was surprised as to how little food was on the plate; 5 scallops on a smear of cauliflower and was supposed to have brussel sprouts, but did not see any. Others in my party had the lamb, it was a bit tough, but good flavor. Another had the Filet and thought it was perfectly cooked as requested. The last person dining with us had ordered the Schnitzel and risotto, they said it was 'okay'. Our appetizers were the Lobster Bisque and French onion soup. Bisque was lukewarm and onion soup was too hot to eat. Our meal arrived and he had not finished the soup. Service was excellent, Luke was very attentive. We enjoyed 2 proseccos prior to our meal and were well-portioned. Wine with our meal was excellent and will order the wine again. The desserts were delicious as well.
This is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Atmosphere was lovely with well appointed rooms, fireplace burning and quiet ambiance. Service was exemplary. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Every element of our meal was delicious from cocktails to appetizers and our main courses. We look forward to coming back in the future.
The duck was fabulous!! Drinks were delicious and our waiter was fun. Perfect New Year's Eve dinner!!
Everything was excellent. We were very disappointed that the drinks were very watery. Hopefully better next time.
Dining at Duling Kurtz is always a special treat. The service is extremely friendly and personable. The food is always outstanding and eloquent. The entire experience is a warm, relaxed evening.
We took family from out of town for a holiday celebration and it was great. The food was wonderful and the service was impeccable.
Duling Kurtz has been my favorite place to dine for decades. I started taking my granddaughter there for dinner when she was two years old. She learned that her favorite meal was filet mignon. And now that she's 21, we still get the same entree and sit at the same table we did all those years she was growing up. Liz was our exceptional server, and the food was delicious as always! 5 Stars!

We have been there several times. Always enjoyable however this is the first time we were in the second floor. The ambience is more of a porch setting - completely different than the quaint “inn setting” on the first floor. We were a bit disappointed with the feel and next time will request the first floor.
We had a wonderful dinner at the Duling Kurz House. The atmosphere was quiet, our waitress excellent and the food was outstanding. We highly recommend the Duling-Kurtz House!
We haven't been here in a while but will definitely return sooner than later. Our waitress Patti was excellent
We came here for our anniversary dinner as we hadn't been here in ages. It was just as fabulous. My Wedge Salad was cold, crispy and delicious. The Popovers (Yorkshire Pudding) served with butter and Lemon Curd were delightful. And my Wild-caught Scallops with the shaved Brussel Sprouts were also amazing. My husband said his Filet with both Bearnaise and Bordelaise was perfection. And the variety of desserts is almost overwhelming. Plus, we were so happy to be seated in a cozy room with a fireplace.
We'll be back soon!
•At the very least, it will be $100 per person and UP.
•At night, you'll need your cellphone flashlight to see the menu.
We have been going to the Duling Kurtz House for 35 plus years and the food has been excellent. Service was great and they made our anniversary evening special. Always great sitting in the side room. Pop overs and lemon curd are the best🙌🏻 Could eat them all day long. Setting is beautiful
