Malgudi Cafe Reviews
Malgudi Cafe feels like home. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. And the food is excellent. The food served at Malgudi Cafe is the food I'm served when I visit my friend's homes in India. It's a taste of India in Exton.
The food is prepared to order and is consistently delicious, so I don't mind waiting occasionally. I also appreciate that I can ask any server for help. Anyone carrying a white handheld terminal can add to my order and...read full review
Reached here at 11:40. Took them 20 mins to get us seated. The place was not crowded. Took them another 20 minutes to even come by our table. Another 25 minutes to get the food. There was water under the table. On requesting someone to clean, the person basically pointed to another person and walked away.
The food was good but oily. Overall experience was subpar.
Vibe at this restaurant is so authentically positive and soulful, not just because of the great food but all of it from music to sincere service to decor. Feeling of being in India. Great food which is somewhere between home and a restaurant.

Malgudi Cafe offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious food that will leave customers wanting more. The restaurant serves a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including dosas, mixed vegetable pakoras, dahi papri chat, and pineapple kesari. Their Mango Lassi and Gulab Jamoon are also highly recommended. The staff is friendly and inviting, making it feel like a home away from home. The food is prepared to order and consistently delicious, with favorites like vegetable uttapam and chai standing out. Many customers appreciate the clean food and great service. The restaurant also offers vegan and jain alternatives for those with special dietary needs. Customers have praised the authenticity of the South Indian breakfast items such as Neer dosa and tatte idly, which are soft and flavorful. The sambar and chutney remind many of the good old Udupi hotels, and the pineapple kesari bath is often highlighted as particularly tasty. The restaurant is known for its bustling energy and often gets crowded, but wait times are short. With reasonable prices and a cozy ambiance, Malgudi Cafe remains a favorite spot for authentic South Indian food, including Rava dosa, onion bhajji, medu vada, idli, and bisebille rice. The Mangalore bajjis are also considered a must-try. Overall, Malgudi Cafe is celebrated as a go-to place for delicious, traditional Indian flavors in a friendly setting.
