Malgudi Cafe feels like home. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. And the food is excellent. The food served at Malgudi Cafe is the food I'm served when I visit my friend's homes in India. It's a taste of India in Exton. The food is prepared to order and is consistently delicious, so I don't mind waiting occasionally. I also appreciate that I can ask any server for help. Anyone carrying a white handheld terminal can add to my order and close my check. It's convenient, especially when they're busy. My current favorite dish is the vegetable uttapam. I spent 3 1/2 weeks in India earlier this year and didn't find any uttapam that was better than Malgudi Cafe. Same goes for the chai - it's outstanding. Do yourself a favor and get to Malgudi Cafe. You'll be glad you did!
The worst place ever. They don't even wash the dishes before serving. What else would you like to hear about this restaurant. Igive it a negative rating. Ambience is better than before.
Just the best South Indian restaurant. Love their Pineapple Sheera.
Nice restaurant with very good options of very tasty vegetarian dishes
Wow! I enjoyed takeout from Malgudi a few weeks ago, but the in-person experience is something else again. Bustling with family energy (owners *and* guests), hospitality, and dishes hot out of the kitchen. Now I've had two different tables full of food from/at Malgudi, and everything was delicious, and I'm not nearly through the menu yet! You must experience this.
The food is very delicious and reminds me of the food from India. The Pongal and Vada combo is like WOW. Definitely recommended.

I recently enjoyed some delicious South Indian food after a long time! The menu is limited, but everything I tried was fantastic. The vada was crispy, the masala dosa with pudi was excellent, and the veggie uttapam was amazing. I think it had a lovely taste of homemade fresh butter. I did take off one star because I was hoping for piping hot coffee, but it was still tasty even at room temperature. The service was quick, the ambiance was nice and clean, and the owner was present to ensure all guests were well taken care of. I highly recommend this place!

I had an amazing experience at Malgudi Cafe Veg! The service was exceptional, and the staff treated me with great hospitality. The highlight of my visit was the Mysore Masala Dosa – absolutely delicious and perfectly made! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic South Indian flavors. The place was somewhat full when I reached, waited for 10 minutes. I went alone so they ignored me, I started asking “how long before am seated” two people ignored and a third person said “will see what I can do” He came back and lead me to a seat which was pretty much on the way in/out and awkward, I said I am not comfortable sitting there. He left and I left. A corner would still be ok but a seat on the way is too awkward
Edit: Truth is 1)the seating was on the way and awkward, I have all the right to speak what I experienced 2)nobody even asked me why I was waiting, it is typical in any sit-down place for someone to attend as soon as you show up at the entry-desk and ask "how many people?" here none of you did that. It was not even crowded for that matter. Two of your folks ignored me when I tried asking what is the wait time. You are lying blatantly, "several team members checked" - no this is not true. If writing a genuine review is an unfair act, that is your opinion, I will not delete anything
