They took more than an hour for providing idly and sambar, very very bad service.

Everything at this place was great! We started with filter coffee, Bangalore dosa and onion chilli rawa dosa. Ended with pineapple kesari bath which was mind blowing! Aunty(main chef) also gave us Mysore pak to try and it melted in the mouth! They even do vegan and jain alternatives. Very clean food and great service.

All south Indian, Dosa's, Vadas, Idlis, Pongal. Sooper tasty. The way restaurant setup is really nice. You will have B'lore/Mysore feel.

The place is good and the vibe as well. They give items one after other while the second item comes the first person is done with their food. The service is VERY slow. Even cold badam milk came as a dessert after the bill came.
Taste is not at all up-to the hype. I have been to much better places with excellent taste. Tatte idily is not fresh or appetizing.

It's really hard to find an authentic place to try south indian foods. Heard this place gets very crowded all the time, we went on a weekend but still managed to get a table within 5-10 minutes! We tried a lot of things and all of them were surprisingly so good! Probably the best idlis I've had in the US, great vadas, and dosas. The chutney and the sambar reminded me of the good old Udupi hotels! We also got a thali and every item in it tasted delicious, especially the pineapple kesari bath! Apparently, their mangalore bajjis are must try-as suggested by the owner herself, who was a sweet, kind lady :) Definitely try this spot if you're in PA!

Best Bangalore restaurant in the east coast. Reminded me of CTR from Bangalore. So nostalgic! Must Visit.

Amazing food! My friends and I loved it so much that we went twice in just two days. The South Indian breakfast items are authentic and flavorful, and their weekend specials are absolutely mouth-watering. Neer dosa and tatte idly were standouts—soft, fresh, and perfectly made. We were a group of 8 and ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, and every single one tasted fantastic. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious South Indian breakfast!

Malgudi Cafe is a nice spot for authentic South Indian vegetarian food. The dosas, idlis, and sambhar are fresh and flavorful, especially the Bangalore dosa. Their madras coffee is an absolute must try. They even have different thalis and combos which are good. Their food quality and service is always great. Washrooms are available. I recommend the restaurant for South Indian foo.

First time visiting this restaurant and what an absolutely delicious treat! I ordered the Bangalore dosa and my husband got medu vada and filter coffee and we both shared a vegetable puff. Everything was fresh, crisp and absolutely scrumptious. The menu is specifically focused on food from Bangalore and it is such a pleasure to find a place that specializes in a limited menu and delivers excellent quality vs the standard Indian restaurants that seem to have a booklet of items from _everywhere_ and make sub-par, generic food. It was also such a pleasure talking to Lakshmi Adiga - aunty. She personally makes most of the food and everything is made fresh everyday - and you can absolutely tell. For those of us from Bangalore, Malgudi Cafe is a little piece of home. For those of you looking to try authentic region specific Indian cuisine, I highly recommend you give this place a try. We also got some kodbele and muruku and holige (my favorite kind made with coconut and jaggery!) and I am looking forward to tea time for the next several days! 😋😋
PS: also love the Carnatic music playing in the background and the cute and uncluttered decor!

This place has significantly dropped the quality of the food over time! The masala dosa is good but small for the price! They fold the dosa in a way that it appears big! Chaat items are a hit or miss! They need to add more options to their main course menu!

The service was terrible. Idlis didn’t come for a long time, dosa order never made it to the kitchen and they had to be reordered. Meantime, people who came after us kept getting served.
Vadas were good, but idlis were wet and sticky. And dosas were v oily
