I was impressed! Great environment, super friendly staff. I had their house fried rice was incredible. My husband enjoyed the general Taos (gluten free). We both appreciated the jasmine tea in their cute tea pot.

This Chinese restaurant has great flavors, and it would be even better if they could regularly introduce some special dishes.

My food was ready when they said. The customer service was friendly. The Mapo tofu was excellent, great flavor and good spiciness. The mapo had ground pork and no carrots or peas like many places and the fermented soybeans added a great supporting flavor (solid 9.5 stars). The Congee was really nice, I like a little more egg and sesame oil, but had a great ginger flavor (easy 8.5 stars). The only item that wasn't great was the Kung pao chicken. The sauce in the Kung pao had a slightly burned taste. However even with the burned flavor the heat still came through. The green and red peppers were great and they didn't use a ton of celery like most places. This dish would have been an 8.5, but the burn dropped it to a 6. I'll definitely be back.

Very sad to write this review as I have always really enjoyed the food at Mama Wong's. Ordered lunch special ($14) of Mongolian Beef which came with white rice and a spring roll. Beef was slimy and had a strange texture and not completely convinced it was actually beef. Tiny spring roll went in trash can after one bite as it was stale and tasted off. I was craving Mama Wong today, and now doubt that I will return. Maybe it was an off day.

Parking: Parking Lot AvailableService: We went around 7:00 PM on the weekend. We were seated quickly. Waitress was really nice and even checked to see if we wanted more rice. The wait for food after ordering wasn’t long.Atmosphere: Plenty of seating. Nice and quiet.Food: The portioning on the entrees is fair. I recommend the following entrees: braised pork belly, chicken with hot dried pepper, and beef w/ long hot pepper. The dishes with peppers are only mildly spicy so it should not pose a big issue for those who want to try and are worried about the spice. The pricing of their soup is fantastic (compared to other places) and you get the most for the value. I would recommend getting the 16oz soup if you aren’t sharing. The most recent outing I got the Hot and Sour Soup 16 Oz. This tasted good and more importantly was served hot. I also got the Chicken with Hot Dried Peppers and it was good. It was savory and mildly spicy. The chicken was nicely fried and leaves a sweet aftertaste.Verdict: I am glad to see an authentic chinese restaurant west of Philly. I recommend dining here if you want quality authentic chinese food as opposed to the typical chinese takeout restaurants.

Service is non existence in the place, food came around 1hour after we sat down at the table, complained to the waitress and the response is they have other take out orders to take care of, and we were basically left there with no food coming out. The waitress was extremely unprofessional in the way she communicated with us. Avoid if you value customer service and your time.

We came around 6PM and were seated quickly for 2 people. Seating was well-lit and comfortable. Server was friendly but it did take a little long to get our food.We ordered Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings ($12) for our appetizer, which has 6 pieces. The dumplings came in a wooden steam basket with a little metal tong, but we did not get spoons, which caused the soup to spill out from the dumplings when we picked them up/ate them. Regardless, they were delicious and well cooked--a good precursor to the entrees. For our entree, we got the Braised Pork Belly ($22), which was served with bok choy underneath. The pork belly was very soft and flavorful and the bok choy was a great complement to the pork belly. We also ordered Beef with Long Hot Peppers ($22). This dish was great. I have a very low spice tolerance and did not find this dish spicy at all, so don't be afraid of the "long hot peppers" in the description. The beef was well cooked and seasoned.Overall, I loved my experience at Mama Wong @ Exton! All of the dishes we got were delicious and cooked to our expectation. Each entree was enough to serve 2 and have leftovers to take home. The total price for 1 appetizer and 2 entrees was $60 (including taxes, not including tip), which is a little pricey but ultimately worth it. If you're looking for a good authentic Chinese restaurant, I definitely recommend giving this place a try!Wheelchair accessibility: Aside from the sidewalk curb outside, there were no steps or obstacles to worry about when inside the restaurant.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever had and definitely the best one in the area. The menu had so much variety. The dry pepper chicken wings and the Spicy Dry Hot Pot were AMAZING. Can’t wait to go

Food was delicious and hot (did takeout). Very pleasant staff who made sure the order was complete before handing it to me. Wish they were closer (they are about 20 min from my home). Will probably be our go-to spot for Asian cuisine from now on.

I have been on a hunt for a good Szechuan food restaurant since 2016 and after countless failed attempts I heard about Mama Wong from my friend. I was very eager to try this place so my boyfriend and I came here for a date night. We ordered so much food because I wanted to try everything. We got the hot chili oil wontons, the wonton soup, and cucumber salad for an appetizer. Then we got the dry pepper chicken wings, dan dan noodles and the dry hot pot. The wontons were perfectly cooked with a great spicy kick to it. The wonton soup had seaweed which was amazing! I love seaweed and the broth was very flavorful. The cucumber salad had a great kick to it as well. It was very refreshing and loved the sauce it came with. The noodles were just the right amount of spicy. These have to be my fave dan dan noodles. Lastly the dry hot pot had all the protein you can get: shrimp, fish, beef and scallops. All the spices came perfectly together served over rice. My taste buds were extremely happy. 1000000000/10
