Had the spinach and white pizza - and being from New York, it was very good. My husband had on the bone wings dry and loved them. My son had the kids cheeseburger and fries, and actually ate the entire meal even with having the pretzel bites appetizers. Pretzel bites tasted fresh. Cheese sauce tasted like melted white American, which wasn’t bad, but it was definitely heated up prior to the pretzels being ready. My husband had the VK original IPA, which he liked, but he definitely enjoyed my Dreadnought IPA better. Specials on a Sunday for beer and appetizers, which was a nice surprise. They also have a special on Sunday for when you purchase a pizza, you get a kids pizza free.

Great meal as usual at VK. Pizza was great and the chicken cutlet sandwich with roasted red peppers and cooper sharp cheese was awesome. Highly recommend it!

Was recently reminded how horrible everything VK is. We had a horrible experience l around at the restaraunt. This place is insanely priced for what they offer considering the area. Service is horrible. Food was horrible and their beers are about the worst in the entire area.
Recently had their beers again. No choice, it was all that was being served. Absolutely abysmal.

I placed a take out order on Christmas eve to pick up at 2:30. I was an hour late and I didn’t realize they closed at 3. Jenna was extremely kind and stayed late to give me my order. I only got 3 orders of calamari but it was delicious.

We’ve now had two incredible experiences here, and I can’t say enough good things.
Our first visit was a much-needed, impromptu date night, and the food was phenomenal. We had the crispy cauliflower, pizza, and salad. Memorable and thoughtfully done.
Our second visit was today for the Santa brunch, and it really showed how special this place is. We arrived without a reservation and learned they were fully booked! Instead of turning us away, they went out of their way to make room for us. That alone would have been impressive, but what really stood out was the generosity of the owners and the business itself. Events like this usually require tickets or extra charges. Here, there were none. Just genuine generosity and a real desire to create a great experience. The atmosphere was warm, everything felt seamless, and the Santa was wonderful with the kids.
You can tell this is a place run by people who truly care about their guests and their community. We’ll absolutely be back.

The bartender was nice attentive and knew what he was doing,
Can not say the same for the kitchen, had to send back cold nachos TWICE, took home the pizza which I guess wasn't bad. Would go back for drinks but never for food.

Wife and I came here for pizza and drinks. Pizza is some of the best around, and the drinks are tasty as well.

We’ve been here a bunch of times since it changed from the Ship Inn, but it’s been awhile since the last visit. We ordered 2 sandwiches. Normally the portions are large enough that we can eat half and save the other. Unfortunately, they cut the portion sizes, yet the price remains the same. Like another review, it’s the size of a Wawa shortie. The food and service are good, but disappointed about the portions.
We’ve had similar issues as other reviewers have had, for wonky take out orders.

When you are dining in here, your experience is perfect or close to it. However, if you are getting takeout, the attention to detail is lacking. Every order except for one that we have gotten takeout on has had problems. We have never said anything because we don’t wanna make a big deal out of it because we figure they’re busy but This evening they completely forgot one item we ordered entirely. And that was with my husband bringing home the takeout it wasn’t like the fault could lie with a delivery service. So I hope whomever at the bar got to eat the pretzel nuggets and enjoyed them because they didn’t come home with our food order. And the dressing on my salad was not the dressing I requested. And that happened last time when I got fish and chips. I was pretty specific about not wanting their sauce because it’s too salty and I don’t care for it. I would rather put my own tartar sauce on it. And they’re fish and chips is among my favorite things on their menu and last time the fish was not as fresh as it should have been.
Take out service needs to match dine in service. I am giving food four stars because the dine in is so much better than the takeout.

I hate to throw shade on a vet-owned establishment, but we had such a miserable experience at the bar on Friday, 10-3-25. We were all but ignored by an unfriendly bartender who spent more time chit-chatting with his fellow bartender than attending to customers. Also, a pet peeve is when bartenders look your way multple times, observe that your beer glass has been empty for ten minutes, but can't be bothered to inquire if you'd like a refill. Finally, when I asked if we could order food (we asked for menus when we sat, so it shoulda been clear we would like food), it still took another 5-10 mins before the bartender asked what we we wanted. Oh, meanwhile, another patron had been asked if he'd like another beverage while my sad, empty pint remained that way. (Lest you think the bartenders were swamped, so give 'em a break, there were six people at the bar, so they don't get a pass for being overly busy). Rather than ordering food, we told the bartender we'd like to leave and get our bill. At that point he feigned surprise that we weren't ordering. The one good thing? He apologized and paid for our drinks, so there's that. Sadly, we'll never return, and I really wanted to try their pizza, but never got the chance before being completely turned off by the joint. If there was a zero star for service, I'd pick it.

Great variety of elevated pub style eats. Historic building with modern touches. Environment was warm and inviting. Loved the whole experience. Will definitely be back. Shout out to Madison, our rugby playing Greek baddie. She was an incredible server with an awesome personality.
