Hit or miss. I've been several times, bar scene is good, decor is good. But, sometimes table orders are incorrect or flat out forgotten. I've seen inconsistent portions, e.g. huge amounts of chicken, but itty bitty cheese platter. These are the operational efforts and staff areas that can make a good restaurant great.

Definitely a great place to meet friends for drinks/dinner with Jules the bartender! A fun evening for sure! Loved the beautiful bar, fireplace and all those cute dog pictures. We lived in Chester Springs from 1982-1999 and things have grown! Still love the area.

Reagan was fabulous last night as were the other servers and attendants who looked after our table. First time coming to this particular location for me, and first time ever at a White Dog for several in my party, so everyone was very happy with the experience. Appetizers, entrees, drinks, sides, desserts, etc. were all fantastic. Look forward to coming back in the near future! Thank you for a lovely evening!

This is a really special restaurant. The food was SO tasty, and the staff was extremely accommodating for a gluten allergy. They even have a gluten free bread basket! Service was excellent as well. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

I have been going here since they first opened. I have always enjoyed it and thought the food was excellent. This was the first dinner in quite some time for our large family at White Dog. The eating experience lasted roughly two hours. They did not have enough wait staff at no fault of our waiter. There was significant delays in the ordering and placing process. The food was not prepared correctly across multiple meals. The corrections were still not satisfactory. This experience left a sour taste in my mouth. So much so, I would doubt I will be back for anything more than drinks at the bar.
The portions are very small and the food quality is very, very poor. The ingredients in the harvest salad (A wilted spinach salad is a better name for it) were not fresh. The pieces of soggy apples absorbed the vinegar in the dressing and the spinach was wilted and overwhelming. The pasta entree was smaller than a childrens size or side dish and the few bits of Seaford were chewy and strong. We ordered dessert which was decent. Even the cocktails were not as described. I really like lemon but the pear martini was more like lemonade. The place is charming and the service was good, but the quality and prices will keep me from returning.

Had dinner here for the first time on a Thursday night. I ordered the fish special, which unfortunately was dry, overly salted, and had an off-putting fishy smell. I had asked for the Mahi, but when the waiter brought it to the table, he referred to it as trout—an indication of how unrecognizable the dish was. Two others in my party ordered steaks, which were very good, so the kitchen clearly has its strengths. We also shared the bread basket and Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were on the greasy side and had too much burnt bacon mixed in. That said, it was a busy holiday night, and the wait staff seemed understandably frazzled, so perhaps this wasn’t the best night for a first impression. I would definitely consider returning for the atmosphere, especially if the wine-by-the-glass list expands beyond mostly California options.

My food was ice cold.They were willing to reheat it but realized they would warm it up in the microwave & I can do that home. Plus, I can guarantee it will be hot!!
