The BBQ here was amazing! While the website is dogwater, and calling to order seemed to just confuse the fella running the shop as he didn't get it exactly right, the food makes up for it. The food was hot, flavorful, and worth the price paid.
We were on vacation, and we're looking to get a dinner that we normally wouldn't at home. We paid around 60 bucks for the two of us (including a tip. Yeah, he gave me a cornbread waffle instead of coleslaw, but he was working alone so 🤷). While it was a little steep on paper, it was two meals for each of us, and it was great.
We both enjoyed the Carnitas and the baked beans. Mac and Cheese was good, and the pork belly, burnt ends, and pork bbq were also tasty.
If you're in the area, definitely stop in. Just....make sure the dude writes down your order haha

Pastrami was out of this world, what a gem of a spot! We tried a bit of everything and it was delicious. Great service and great price for the portions. Would definitely recommend!

Wings are soggy sauce is basic eat 1 bit. Girlfriend eat bacon cheeseburger was a frozen patty. Needless to say we both threw our meals away uneaten.

I have so much to say about Smoak!! I’ll start by saying I was born and raised in Kansas City. Every time i Have Smoak it is like a little taste of back home, even though his BBQ is Nashville inspired. It is seasoned, smoked, and cooked to perfection. His creativity and love for his craft is really shown through the flavor, menu, and specials. My husband and I enjoy his food so much it is a regular thing for us to call him up about once every other week for our favorite go tos, or whatever special he posts and gets our stomach rumbling. In fact, we enjoy smoak so much that we had him cater for our wedding rehearsal. We had a diverse crowd of picky eaters and everyone found something they not liked, but loved! A couple more things to appreciate are the affordable prices, the taste tests he gives out, his excellent customer service, and lastly; the fact that he is a one man show! (Unless you’re lucky enough to stop in on a rare day here or there that his amazing gem of a mother is there to help)

I dont live close to smoak and heard about it on Facebook. I've done take out and have eaten in and have never been disappointed with the food. There isn't a lot of good BBQ around here so im thankful its around.

We won't go anywhere else for barbecue or smoked meals. This place is magnificent—it's the best we've experienced during our travels in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The portions are incredibly generous. We're a bit obsessed and feel spoiled by Smoak. Thank you for providing the best barbecue and smoked meats!

Smoak BBQ has exceptional food and service. We got food for a party from here and everyone complimented how good it was, especially the pork! Robert was very helpful and great to work with -- he definitely gained us as loyal customers!

Finally tried Smoak BBQ Grill & Meatery in Factoryville by Lake Winona, and it did not disappoint. We dined in and had the Pit Boss and Chicken Bacon Caesar as wraps, which were both great…the Pit Boss becoming an instant favorite! Our kids loved the wings and Mac & Cheese! We also had baked beans, Mexican corn, slaw and a cornbread waffle. All were delicious. The restaurant is small and has a lot of rustic character with a bit of a musician theme. It has probably eight tables and a small lounge area. I’d guess you can probably fit 25-30 people if completely full. There were about 15 people there while we were eating, and we were very comfortably spaced. The restaurant gets bonus points for having a working Galaga arcade game, which kept the kids occupied while we waited the reasonable 10-15 minutes for our food. The gentleman who took our order (presumably the owner) was very polite and helped us navigate the menu. He was a one-man-band, but managed the crowd well and gave us good attention. We will definitely be back and encourage others to try them out if you haven’t already!
