Stopped here on our way back from Gettysburg, it did not disappoint. Don't let the looks fool you. The homemade rolls and bread pudding were to die for. Between us we ordered the hamburger, chopped steak, grilled chicken breast and house salad. All were outstanding. The portions were eye popping. The coleslaw and green beans were great as well. BTW as soon as we walked in you could smell the rolls in the oven!!

Been twice now. Food is good, not great. Issues arose the last visit when uncooked fries served with a burger, server didn’t offer any solution. Staff is friendly but not customer focused.

Wanted to like the place but unfortunately after two less than average experiences will not be returning

Great homemade food.

Has odd hours, so check in advance. The food is great and the price is excellent. It is in a section of turnpike that has few options. Way better than fast food.

This is a must stop restaurant if you like home cooking and like value for the money. I always take food home. The food is made fresh daily. They have home made dinner rolls like my mom used to make and the pan fried chicken is amazing. Been eating here for many years never disappoints.

My husband found the fort through google; I was a little apprehensive upon walking in… but holy heck, my socks were knocked off. Core food memory. Don’t judge a book by its cover; listen to the reviews. Our ordering was all over the place, and everything was fantastic.

great, fast service with tasty food. Not the best atmosphere, a bit cold and empty and thought it may have been closed on first glance, but I'd stop in again if I were on the way through.

Nice family restaurant right off the turnpike with great service and food. Definitely going to work a stop here into our future road-trips on the turnpike. Make sure you get corn fritters as a side!
