Enjoyed a quiet family dinner with a view after not visiting for a few years. Food was solid and as good as if not better than we remember. Would recommend.

All I can say is constantly inconsistent. Last time I was there was summer of 2024 , the food was great and so was the service. This time , awful. Waitstaff is unpolished the soup came out before the appetizer my cocktail was served with no cocktail napkin so my glass could sweat all over my table. The water they serve taste horrible and it took soooo long for our meals to arrive that we had to take it to go as we were attending a concert at Lincoln Hall and we would have been late had we stayed to eat it . The staff stumbles all around hauling dirty dishes from tables all stacked up on each other - do they not know what a tray is ? This service seemed to bother no one . Did I mention that the woman's restroom was dirty and smelly . Well it was. And the carpet in the restaurant itself was scattered with litter . Sorry , this was the case as it was at one time a very nice place to have dinner . They really need to cleanup their act !

Once again, we had a wonderful evening at the Allegheny Grille. I had made reservations for 4 and at the last minute we had one more join us. Our server immediately moved us to a larger table, and was so kind and courteous about it. Our meals were delicious, our drinks were continually refilled, and our server was on top of everything. Our group comes every month after a meeting, and I have no doubt we will be back again next month!!

After ordering and waiting an hr plus, we were told they ran out of mashed potatoes for two of our dinner sides. Next, we got a steak salad with steak so cold, the fat had hardened in the steak pieces. We sent it back and they said they would take it off the bill. We also ordered two haddock dinners, both of which were so severely overcooked that the fish had dehydrated and shriveled up in the breading. The other dinner was possibly the worst salmon salad I've ever had. Mistakenly also ordered a cup of coffee that came out at room temp. We got the bill for $145 for four terrible dinners and paid with a card. When we got the receipt back for signature, they had added back in the $28 steak salad they removed from the bill. We spoke with the manager who said they were unable to do refunds to a card and gave us a gift certificate. When we told him we're out of state and can't use it, suddenly he was able to refund our card. If management had just handled this appropriately, I wouldn't be writing this review but he instead chose to be deceptive and tried to make more money off of their mistakes.

Fish sandwich was dry. Clam chowder had potatoes that were hard. Food was barely edible. Service was slow. Very disappointed.

I just love this place! Wait staff has always been very pleasant and attentive (one time they were extremely busy, but they let us know right up front and apologized for any inconvenience; I said that was great! :-) I just love sitting by the river on a summer afternoon for as long as I can); food has always been great - and the atmosphere just can't be beat. I don't live in the area but make a special trip to visit friends in the area around my birthday just so I can celebrate it here.

We had dinner for our anniversary. It was a Tuesday evening so I was thinking it would be light crowd. It was actually quite busy. We sat out outside near the water. They had a good sounding band playing light rock/country. Service was good. Our waitress was definitely busy but never forgot about us. Food was good but seemed a little over priced for the quality. We would go back for a special occasion.
