Sweet ladies make and serve comfort food. It's not for the health conscious,LOL, but if you have a healthy appetite and cherish comfort food, this is the place. It's our " mecca" every time we are in the area.
This place is so tiny! It is adorable and clean, and the food was delicious. My favorite things about the Chugnut are the name (lol) and the huge coffee mugs!!! And as a born and raised southerner, it is a comfort to find a diner that serves gravy biscuits up here! I've eaten here 40+ times for breakfast. The food is always delicious especially the breakfast garbage plates. Sometimes the service is a little slow but thats to he expected in a small place with 2 people working It's always worth the wait. We go just about every Sunday and if it's busy we wait for a seat because the food is always great.
