Such a phenomenal place for breakfast, containing a large variety of breakfast foods such as pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs, and more. Nice variety of coffees and lattes as well. They have lunch, but it’s a small menu, but it’s all homemade dishes which is definitely a good thing. The interior is fun, having many different pictures and nic nacs of old timey trends and fads. Very good location as well, being right near the train station.

The place is really cute! Very much a local restaurant. They were packed the entire time we were there. Please note that they will only take tips in cash. The ATM was down, so they processed a second transaction on my card for the tip, and all card transactions get an added 3.5 percent fee charged to the customer. I was not happy about having to pay the 3.5 percent fee twice.
The server was very nice and friendly. She brought our water and coffee right away. We ordered the scrapple fries as part of our meal. We then watched two other tables that came in after us get their scrapple fries "as a starter" per the server delivering them, and the table next to us that ordered a take out order of scrapple fries aftwr finishing their meal and waiting for their check, get their orders of scrapple fries before we got ours. Our entrees came out, and I had to ask if the scrapple fries were still coming and still waited for them to come out. I almost feel like our table became an afterthought. My son ordered eggs over easy, and they looked great, but they were loose, uncooked egg white, and the yolk still had clear egg slime on the top of it.

Overall, I would say check the place out, the Morton Monster was delicious, and the scrapple fries were pretty good. The coffee was the perfect diner coffee, and the pictures, coffee mugs, and stickers all over were interesting.

Service is so personable and accommodating! The French toast was labeled Texas French toast but then just looked like wonder bread. A little too much vanilla in it that the artificial flavor was overpowering.

Kids pancakes are the perfect size and the scrapple fries are awesome!

I like to use the method of a ‘S’ sandwich when I write reviews so first the compliment.

The atmosphere was super cute and you knew it was a long standing place because I didn’t see two coffee cups that looked the same in the entire building.

Bad food was the biscuits and gravy. I know that it is a southern dish but this was unique in the fact the gravy itself was an almost straight bechemel with no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. Then the sausage they used….I have the rough image of the packaging in my head as I knew the taste instantly. They used Italian pizza sausage crumbles that typically come in a five pound bag, not breakfast sausage…. There is no mistaking that taste or look of the crumbles!!

However, the scrapple fries were amazing as a first time eater of scrapple and the dipping sauce was delicious. Then the loaded home fries were deep fried to perfection and you just can’t go wrong with real bacon and ‘whiz’!!!

I’d go back for the last two items and just avoid the biscuits and gravy.

This place was ok. Scrapple fries were not the best I have had. They need to cut them bigger so that you can have the crispy crust and tender inside. Also, everything I had smelled and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Not a do over for me.
