We came for lunch a few days ago. I am not typically someone to leave a bad review, but our waiter was not friendly, acted like he was doing us a favor, and in general could not be bothered. He didn't bring water or drinks until about 20 minutes after we arrived and then only when someone in our group went and asked another server. He was literally on his phone and chatting in the kitchen. If the restaurant had been busy and he had been running that would have been a little bit more understandable (not ok, understandable) but there were maybe 5 tables and we seemed to be his only one. I have to say it was disappointing as we have generally had good experiences at NYAJ's.
Reliable chain dinning, enjoyed my “Fire” burger and fries. Was expecting more heat, maybe some raw jalapeños slices as an option? My companions liked their fish tacos; for the rice addicts (came with a bucket of rice). Great for families with small kids.
We had a 6:00 reservation and while the restaurant was busy, it was not overly crowded, nor was it too loud to have a conversation. Sarah was our server, and she has excellent skills. Friendly. Personable. Efficient. Helpful but not annoying. She was excellent. Our drinks (lemon drop martini and lemonade crush) were yummy. As was the key lime pie! We had 3 different salads/sandwiches, and they were delicious.
Went for brunch today! I'm not sure if Brunch is new to the chain or what but servers were not attentive and there were maybe 3 or 4 parties in the whole restaurant. It took 10 min to be acknowledged and when beverage orders were finally taken it took 10 minutes for water and a cup of tea and a message that the coffee would be ready soon. Really?? Restaurant opened at 10am and no coffee was available at 11am. When it finally came out there was no cream and we had to wait again to chase down the server. The omelettes, potatoes and salads were very good. The chicken on a biscuit was good but the biscuit crumbled. The complimentary focaccia bread and dip were fresh and excellent
Taylor was our server and she was very good for the party of 5 that's we had. Adam the busboy is top notch.
Our service and seating was great! Fun charcuterie board, enough for 3/4 and the burgers are always good!
For a place that is supposed to be above average, it was below average at best. I ordered salmon, mashed potatoes, with a side a green beans and it was very bland….. the food needs more seasoning and the service was garbage as well. Our waiter barely took the time to check up on us. She would swiftly walk by and ask if we were okay but didn’t even give us time to answer as she would just walk away. The only good item that we had was the lava cake. I usually don’t write reviews but this is not worth the price at all.

I've stopped here a few times over the years, today my best friend and I met for lunch. I live in Smyrna and her in Havertown. We were greeted promptly and kindly. Waitress was another version of this. Food was good, not great like usual. Service again mediocre and waitress was less than friendly, actually she seemed rather annoyed with her job. We finished and ordered coffee for me and tea for my friend. Waitress said, we have no black tea, only camomile, to which my friend said ok, then when delivered she asked for sugar. Sugar never came, only our checks. 6.00 for a cup of coffee, no refills ( not even our waters were topped off) and no sugar for the tea. Waitress was a disappointment. Will not return anytime soon.

The food has degraded over the years. We've been at this place perhaps about 20 times over 5 years.
They started out really great, but what they've served the last 2 times was at best edible.
We just went because they had Oktoberfest style food. Schnitzel with red cabbage and potato pancake sounded great.
My wife had Buffalo Mac'n'cheese and there was just not enough cheese, it was almost dry, seemed microwaved to me.
When the food came to the table I was not impressed. The breading in the schnitzel was white mostly, aka not crispy like you'd expect from a schnitzel.. rather wet. It was covered in some mustard sauce... i guess for a reason. The potato pancake was OK, the pork in the schnitzel was actually cooked well, not dry, they just couldn't figure out how to get it crispy?
We had the potstickers, i love those and they're good.
Service was very good.
The place is clean and all. I feel the kitchen is failing them lately. I don't think there's a proper cook present. No decent cook would let this slide.
We won't be back for a good long time, the prices are unwarranted at this level of quality. Pretty sad conpared to their opening.

It was my first visit to NYA Joe's. I must say wow! The drinks were amazing, the food presentation and taste were very tasty and appealing. Our server was attentive and provided us a positive experience.
I would recommend this spot as somewhere to go thats not the average chain restaurant with amazing food!
Dietary restrictions: It's been a long time since a server proactively asked if anyone at the table had food allergies. Kudos to you all for being so aware.

21 of us had Sunday brunch and the service was great. Food all came out together and there were no complaints! All the free focaccia bread they brought out ahead of time was a real treat! Delicious garlic dipping sauce.

NYAJ exceeded my expectations. The food was very good with a varied menu. The atmosphere was nice, and we could actually hear well enough to have a conversation easily. And service was excellent also. We will be back.
