Not Your Average Joe's - Glen Mills

Service was very slow, our server was less than "on the ball", had to ask for bread, ask for refills, and even when we did, we waited forever while he stood over at the island cutting bread and sliding into the bin. He wasnt cutting it for a table. Our meals were good with the exception of the chicken in my Caesars salad which was fatty and grisly. The pasta and beef tips were good as was the tomato soup.

Absolutely wonderful with exception of folks doing the seating who seemed a bit impatient.

We had a delicious dinner. So many wonderful menu choices. We loved almost every offering. Our server was lovely and attentive, in spite of being very busy (it was New Year's Eve).

Food was good. We requested ranch dressing instead of blue cheese with the crispy cauliflower appetizer which our server confirmed when she delivered it to our table but it was in fact blue cheese. We dealt with it but it was disappointing. Everything else was very good.

Not Your Average Joe's is one of our favorite restaurants to go to. The service is always great and food is amazing. We tried the feature turkey sandwich for November and we were so impressed by its taste. We will be back real soon!

Having been to the other NYAJ location in this area ( and not enjoying the experience), I wanted to see how this location played out. We need to dine in the area, so I made a reservation. What a difference! The restaurant was clean, and food and drinks were great. Service was the standout. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Their fall menu items were so good. Highly recommend as a good value dining option in the area.

Fish inside the fish and chips was soggy and smelled of ammonia. When told to the waiter it was ignored. Overall food and service was disappointing.

We came in as a big group (nine adults and four kids) to celebrate our birthday. I’m 31, and yes, I forgot my ID. Totally my fault, and I fully understand restaurants have to follow the rules. What I didn’t expect was how poorly the situation would be handled.

Our server carded everyone at the table, which was fine. But when she noticed I had a drink in front of me (one my family had ordered), she asked if I was drinking today. I was honest and told her I forgot my ID. Her response? A dramatic sigh, “It’s the holiday season… I could lose my job for this,” followed by her literally huffing and walking away.

The way it was handled completely shifted the mood. Instead of just calmly explaining the policy or offering alternatives, it became tense and uncomfortable. We were there to celebrate, but after that interaction, no one at our table wanted to order more drinks or even stay for dessert. What should’ve been a fun, easy birthday lunch ended up feeling awkward and deflated.

We respect the rules, that wasn’t the issue. It was the attitude and the delivery. A little kindness and professionalism would’ve gone a long way.

Oh my goodness! Never been here before. Got my food to-go! Everything was ready on time. The food was amazing! So fresh, good and so much flavor!
The whipped feta was so tangy and creamy and full of flavor.
The caprese sandwich was juicy, flavorful....and then the focaccia was a surprise and I am addicted! Soooooo good! I will be back when I come back to town! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

It was a great experience and Not Your Average Joe. We were a party of 8 and they were able to accommodate us quickly. The waiter was very nice and attentive. We are from out of town and are very happy that we found Not Your Average Joe. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

One of our party was brought the wrong entree. When we were almost finished, they brought his meal but with the incorrect sides. Also had to ask twice for tablespoons. I feel his meal should have been comped or at least been offered a complimentary dessert.

We were in the area doing a fall walk and have seen this place before so we decided to try. The menu was interesting and our server Gia was lovely and engaging. We had the ahi appetizer and Gia suggested the cucumber base and we loved it! My husband loved his Oktoberfest beer. I had a l mon crush cocktail which consisted of vodka, ginger lemonade, mint and white wine. It was a delicious combination. I had the crunch salad which was fresh and delicious. The complimentary bread and dipping oil was very tasty. The overall vide was very nice and a slightly older more sophisticated crowd. I would definitely recommend. My husband had the cape cod Reuben and he loved it. The bread was unique and the fish seemed flaky and fresh.

We really enjoyed our time at Not Your Average Joe. Everyone was so pleasant and courteous. We went for the October fest menu and it certainly lived up to the advertisment. We will definetly will be going back.

Food was as expected and we enjoyed it. Our service, however was one of the worst experiences we've ever had at NYAJ. Our server never checked on us for refills or if the food came out correct. My husband had to flag her down to get her attention for anything....mainly the glass of water I had to ask for three times before I got one. Overall, staff friendly and food was good. We had intended to enjoy a second round of cocktails but weren't able to do so due to the lack of interest by our server.
