The food is really good. We tried a few things - goat biriyani, Poori, Chicken 65, Goat Curry, Naan and Mango Lassi. Everything was yum. The service was a bit disappointing though. It was hard to find a staff when we needed something. Felt like they were understaffed for a peak holiday lunch hour. Also, I don’t appreciate 15-20% gratuity being automatically added to the check especially after a poor service.

An expectation comes with a South Indian Restaurant serving breakfast that they would have some of the basics like Filter coffee. So disappointing that we have been there three times and they didn’t have any hot beverages. The dosas and vada are good but nothing compared to Malgudi in Exton. The only thing that works for them is their low price of $5 per dish at breakfast.

I don't write lot of reviews for restaurants but I compel to write for Virundhu because of how our family felt after dinning here. The food is a celebration of authentic Indian flavors. From their perfectly spiced Veg kothu parotta, Mysore masala dosa, Gobi Manchurian.
Meal won't be complete without authentic Filter Coffee(Its must and you can't go wrong with it)
What truly sets VIRUNDHU apart is the heartfelt care of the husband-and-wife team who own the restaurant. A special shoutout to Vinnu, who went out of her way to accommodate us when the kitchen was almost closed, and there was no chef available to prepare additional orders. Her dedication and passion for serving customers with love left us amazed and truly grateful.
If you going for Longwood Garden visit and craving for authentic Indian Food look no further. Virundhu is place to go...

Dont get fooled by seeing the 4 stars...
Paneer gravy and Paneer Biryani were good
That south Indian so called biryani was extremely salty and tasteless....and LIVE dosa is a big Scam. When u say that buffet starts at 12:00 PM ...the live dosa guy comes at 1:00 PM and then our bill for 2 people is $57.22....Are you kidding me???
Avoid this place if u are looking for good Indian Buffet....GODAVARI Restaurant set my expectations to another level, their food is THE BEST or try Biryani and Bites in Malvern, Mahaksha, Ammas Kitchen, Nalan and New era indian rest... these are some great restaurant's in Philly area / Malvern/ downing Town
also - the amount of soda that Virundhu added made me and my husband very sick!
I unfollowed you on insta and Facebook...FIRST and LAST visit
adding a a reply to your response :We never got to taste the dosa...as the guy came late ...our bill was without DOSA , $57.22 - that is really bad

We had an amazing time at the Saturday lunch buffet! The selection of dishes was truly impressive, each one more delicious than the last. The live dosa station was a standout feature—there’s nothing quite like enjoying freshly made dosas right at your table!
The Ambur mutton Biriyani was exceptional; its rich flavors and perfect seasoning made it a highlight of the meal. And we can't forget the dessert special—“Bread Sweet”—which was a delightful treat that added a wonderful finishing touch to our dining experience.
The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It was especially nice to see the owner engaging with guests for feedback, which made us feel valued.
We left feeling delighted and can’t wait to return for another fantastic buffet experience. Highly recommended! 😊🙏

We had the pleasure of enjoying a Christmas buffet last Wednesday, and it was an incredible experience! The variety and quality of the food were outstanding. The highlight for us was definitely the dosa station—what a treat! For the price we paid, having access to all the delicious food along with the dosa station felt like a pure blessing.
The top-notch Chennai style Virundhu Biriyani was a standout, and we couldn't get enough of it. The staff were friendly and attentive, and it was lovely to see the owner actively seeking feedback at the end of our meal. This level of care truly made our visit special.
We will definitely be returning for another delightful experience! 😊🙏

Paid 26$ for extremely sad food buffet. basic dishes like egg burji , sambar and curd rice were bad. the only highlight was coffee and paneer Manchurian( which was cold) Rest all food items were bad. I am surprised because they were good when they opened and now I don’t know what happened here.
