Table 1837 - Glen Rock Mill Inn

My wife and I drove an hour to Glen Rock Mill Inn primarily because of the reviews. This was our first visit. Service was excellent. Ambience was perfect. We had calamari for starters. I had the shrimp and oyster gumbo (wow) while my wife ordered her usual medium rare filet which arrived just shy of well done. How could this have happened? Yes the offer was made to replace the steak but hey , the mood of the evening was already tarnished. You only have one chance for a first impression

This was our second time visiting Glen Rock and dining at 1837. Not disappointed!! Amazing place. Food and service beyond amazing. Celebrating our anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne. Highly recommend 1837. We live an hour and 30 min away but the drive is worth it. Romantic dinner.

Everything was perfect for a birthday dinner. The attention to detail, the ambience, and the way our server, Trish, took care of us made dining at this restaurant a very pleasant cxpetience.

My husband and I hadn’t been to the restaurant since before COVID ( and before the NAME change). We decided to go for the restaurant week specials. Reservation made, arrived to a lovely table next to pianist. Likes: pianist, ambiance, lighting, formal linen based table setting, crab Rangoon starter, salmon. Dislikes: plastic tulip in vase with formal table setting, shoddy presentation of chicken Marsala served in bowl 3/4 pasta with four pounded tenders (awkward for cutting), pearled couscous salad cold, starchy no taste served under salmon. Added note: most of the offerings on their restaurant week menu are not on their usual dinner menu. 🤔 We were comped the meal by mgr but the attitude was that he wanted us to leave. Heaven forbid if I’d been a secret shopper, ie, a food critic.

We visited last month with friends and enjoyed it so much we came back this month as just a couple. The food is always fantastic and great portions. Our waitress Sue was incredible! She was so friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. We can’t wait to come back again

We totally enjoyed Thanksgiving here this evening - the food was perfectly prepared, beautifully plated, professionally presented, unique, generous, delicious. We were comfortable and unhurried. One of the best desserts ever. Thank you.

Dined here this evening for our 1st wedding anniversary. This is a beautiful restaurant. We sat next to the foundation in a cozy room. All of the employees are warm, inviting, professional and kind. The food is amazing! We will definitely be back and maybe even stay the night.

Wonderful place where I’ve met friends from
PA and MD for years. Great food, good drinks, many different rooms all with lovely ambience. Servers are top notch. My only recommendation to them is to offer some good oat milk as a non dairy creamer option.

Foir of us dining on a Sinday afternoon. Horrible curry chicken I ordered, two friends had crunch Ceaser salad which was listed as a "starter"--very small 14$. Only real hit was burger, ordered as a main coirse.Good server, motivated staff.

We took my daughter and son-in-law to Table 1837 for his birthday. It was honestly one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. The food was amazing! We ate outside because we had our dog along with us. The waitress was outstanding! She was attentive, friendly and thoughtful! We will be back!

i stayed at the Glen Rock Mill Inn and enjoyed dinner here as well. The maple-bourbon grill salmon was delicious! The Mill Manhattan was the perfect cocktail starter and Korin is a terrific bartender with an outgoing and comfortable personality for a fun conversation. .
if you live out of town, take the trip to Glen Rock! spend the night! And if you live in the Rock, support your local fine dinning establishment!
