I want to like Ludwig's more but 4 is max I can do. Service is hit and miss. Last night it felt like I was at a diner - server was abrupt and moving the dishes fast and hard...told we should keep our dirty knives. We wondered why did we have to reach up to our plates being taken away to keep our dirty knives with no place clean on table to put them. Can't we just have new knives? I mean the bill was close to $100 for two people. Also, I love the home made potato chips, onion soup, hamburgers good, the salmon is usually very good. But some entrees and specials have been misses. So I just stick to the usual. I loved the tuna poke tacos and had them over the weekend and they were great. -- but felt last night they were a little red. Not left to marinate as long as I thought it should...and today I have pretty bad gas. Probably totally unrelated but these kinds of occurrences stick with you and make you think twice about venturing off the tried and true. I also miss being served bread and butter on the table. They cut corners on stuff that takes away the feeling of being cared for. But...I will keep going because I feel lucky to have them out in the middle of nowhere...so we don't have to drive far to relax with a nice meal and a glass of wine. 4 stars is the rating they deserve.

It’s been years since I’ve been here. My neighbor took me for lunch today. Our server, Liz, was probably one of the best servers I’ve had in recent years. Hysterical, sharp, polite and knew the menu inside and out. I say “hysterical” only because I egged her on and she was 100% game! Wish she could’ve sat down and had lunch with us!Based upon her suggestions, my friend had the steak Caesar’s and I had the shrimp tacos (a special.) We both super enjoyed our food. And I can’t say enough good things about our server.

Buck a shuck at the bar enjoyed by friends, and I liked the crab cake sandwich.
Very disappointed with my overall experience at this restaurant. The food/drinks were so overpriced, the appetizers/meals were diner quality at best & the dessert was burnt.When I called to make a reservation I mentioned that it was my boyfriend’s birthday, who I spoke to said that they would happily pass this information along & put a candle in his dessert. Long story short they did absolutely nothing to make his birthday dinner special.Our waitress had very little interest in our table of two & was short/rude.Do not let the website/pictures fool you like they did for me. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

It's most likely a phase, however, haven eaten here multiple times in the past year it has shockingly, in resent, has declined, noticably. Blue points, 3 were ordered, two of the smallest oysters I ever experienced anywhere and the third was laughably a sliver and in no world should have been served. All condiments and sauces are now served in a plactic cups on the plates, no ceramic ramican dishes. The art of service is deminishing, so if you charge $30 for a pork chop or a roast beef french dip, I suggest that the dip, ketchup and horseradish sauces or vinegar for oyesters shouldn't be in clear two inch plastic cups rattling around the plate! What, Arby's wantabe style? This was dinnertime mind you! I thought the presentation more appropriate if seated on the blacktop out side.

This restaurant blew my mind and exceeded my expectations! My best friend had her wedding here, and let’s just say my top two favorite moments of the night was seeing them get married and THE FOOD! Omg the food was stellar. The seafood was so fresh. The staff were super friendly and me feel like family. If I had a man I would get married here too lol. Cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu. This family establishment is a cut above the rest, a true gem!

This is the most phenomenal restaurant that ever existed. The staff is amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous. And the food is to die for. Meaghan is one of the warmest hosts to have ever graced this earth. She is truly a saint of a woman.
