Lots of hard wood so sound reverberates. Bar attached adds lots of noise. But food is top notch

I wish I could give this place a better review because we came here to celebrate our wedding dinner, but the experience was extremely disappointing.

We made a reservation for 20 people and clearly communicated in advance that we would be paying separately. We also chose the $65 per person dinner package, which included a starter, entrée, and dessert. The restaurant offered us a kids menu for the five children in our group, which we accepted because it made more sense for their age—they ordered chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, and fries.

When the bill came, we were shocked to find it was over $2,000. Most of the kids were still charged the full $65 package price plus gratuity and tax, even though they did not receive starters, entrées, or desserts. Only two of the children were charged correctly at the kids’ menu price. This made no sense and felt incredibly unfair.

When we questioned the charges, the manager, Angel, immediately became defensive and told us, “If you don’t pay, I’ll have to call somebody,” which was insulting and unnecessary. We were never refusing to pay—we were simply asking for an explanation.

This was supposed to be a joyful wedding celebration, but the way the situation was handled left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. Poor communication, inconsistent billing, and unprofessional customer service made for an experience I would never recommend, especially for anyone planning a special occasion or coming here with children.

I came in to sit at Robert’s Block at the bar by myself, a strong single female not afraid to sit alone. I have been there many times and have always been very kind to the bartenders and patrons, and have always tipped very well. The female owner (whom I have never met) decided to play a little game one night (I know this from an insider) where she had her husband who was sitting in the corner of the bar send me a drink to see if “I would hit on him”. Because I was raised right, I went over to thank him. I’m sure they had a good laugh that night. Let’s see who’s laughing now. I know a ton of people in Glenside and Abington and I am very well liked. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

Visited this establishment on the advice of friends. The food was delicious. My party was greeted at the door upon our arrival. We were seated right away by our waitress. Our waitress was quick to take our order, very knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. She was also very friendly and polite. The venue was very clean. There is table seating (high and low chair seats) or seating at their bar. Ample parking is available in and around their parking lot.

Loved this place. Went there today on a whim because we were in the area. They seated us imediately. There were 5 of us. Everything was amazing. The server was wonderful. The food and drinks were great. We all enjoyed our meals and stayed for dessert. Great place, pleasantly surprised.

Block this place from your list. We started off with the Pierogis as an appetizer. Ugh the edges were hard and filling bland. My husband had the Turkey Rachel. It was very mealy and tasteless. I had the Crispy Fried Chicken that was burnt, dry, and not seasoned at all!! We ordered desert but it too so long we had to leave before it could be served! We needed to get to the show we going to. Only bright spot of the meal was the Esspresso Martini.

Food was good. Service was efficient.
Perfect place to go before a show at the Keswick.

Brew Your Own Beer

Walked into the Rooster, but that was crowded and waaay too loud - like a bar at the beach. Found this spot and it was perfect - great drinks and awesome food. Will now be my go-to for drinks/food before shows at the Keswick.

Their happy hour is fantastic! They just lowered the prices for HH. Went there for my birthday and enjoyed a great Sangria and wine!
