I had a cocktail party for my wife’s 70th birthday at Lockwood Manor catered by Seedlings and Sage. The people at Seedlings and Sage are a class act from start to finish. They took me through the venue to show me how things would be set up. They guided me through the many food choices offered to make this event absolutely amazing. Everyone loved the food choices and the service was outstanding all evening.

Seedling & Sage was absolutely incredible for our wedding! So many of our guests raved about how delicious, well-portioned, and beautifully presented the meal was. The hors d'oeuvres and cocktail hour spread were also a huge hit—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully displayed. The team played such an important role in making our day feel truly special. Their service was professional, attentive, and every detail was handled with care and precision. We had the absolute best experience working with Monica and her team at Seedling and Sage for our wedding at the Highlands Mansion and Gardens! From start to finish, Monica was incredibly professional, kind, and detail-oriented. She made the entire planning process feel stress-free, and on the day of, everything ran so smoothly thanks to her organization and calm energy. She knew how to handle each situation that came up!

One thing that really stood out to us (and to many of our guests!) was how attentively allergies and dietary needs were handled. Guests with food sensitivities told us they felt genuinely cared for, which meant so much to us.

The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the setup (including some support on our florals and decor) was absolutely beautiful. Monica, Andreas, and their entire team truly went above and beyond!

We are so grateful for everything. It was truly the best day ever, and Seedling and Sage played a huge part in making that happen. Highly, highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Seedling and Sage for a recent farm event luncheon and they exceeded every expectation. Monica was fantastic and helped curate a menu and grazing display that perfectly aligned with our farm fresh and sustainability-focused vision. She also created a custom mocktail menu that our guests absolutely loved.

On the day of the event, Omar and the entire on-site team were incredible. They were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Omar especially stood out as calm, organized, and a joy to work with.

We had my daughter’s bridal shower at Morris Arboretum. We chose Seedling and Sage as the caterer. There was a chance of a thunderstorm so we decided a couple hours before the event to move it to the tent. The staff did such a wonderful job setting it up and making it look lovely. As the event was to begin a massive storm hit and everything had to be rearranged. I really was disappointed that we now would have to have it indoors. They were so patient and accommodating and again moved everything back out into the tent once the rain calmed down a bit. All of the staff were wonderful and the food was amazing.

You don't have many catering options when hosting a wedding at the Morris Arboretum. Seedling and Sage seemed like the better of the five options we were given to choose from. The food is standard in quality for banquet food. However, there were several off-putting aspects of our experience working with them.

First, we had to constantly be on top of our assigned planner to set up meetings and correct several errors in our BEO despite several emails with clear instructions on selections and preferences.

Second, we paid them $300 to set up a ceremony table for us (with photo and video instructions), and they in turn made my mom not only set up the whole thing without help, but also clean it up afterwards; this was so disrespectful towards my mom and a complete waste of money. This led to the entire reception falling massively behind schedule as my mom was late for her dance with us.

Third, they were not timely with serving food and desserts to our guests. There was a period of time where only one side of the reception tent had received their entrees and the other half had nothing on their tables; even our photographers noticed and commented on how disorganized it was. After our cake cutting, we had given them instructions to take the cake back and cut it to serve to guests. This did not happen until after the dance floor opened up, the cake had been sitting out for a long period of time, and I finally grew restless and went to the back kitchen to ask staff to take it back for cutting and serving.

And fourth, they tried to send an email to us a few weeks before our wedding stating that they were changing their gratuity policy and were going to increase the charges for our wedding despite a previously signed contract stating otherwise. We had to threaten legal action and get the Morris Arboretum team involved for them to abide by our original contract. Overall, an unpleasant experience with this catering company and I cannot in good faith recommend them.

Seedlings and Sage did a phenomenal job catering my daughter’s wedding shower - Katie and team were on top of everything the day of! My favorite entrees were the salmon and lemon chicken - the peppered tuna appetizer was great. Linens, flatware, plates —set up and clean up very professional. Everyone loved the food!!

Annette, Michelle and the whole team at Seedling and Sage made our wedding day unforgettable! Not only was the food so delicious, the team worked so hard to set up for the ceremony and reception, as well as pack up after the reception. And everyone was so kind! We are so happy we chose Seedling and Sage for our special day and would definitely book them again in the future for other events! I would 100% recommend them if you are considering them for an event!!

Seedling and sage helped us tremendously when it came to bringing our food vision to life. They absolutely delivered on the raw bar that we were so excited to include, and were incredibly helpful when it came to guiding us on decisions that needed to be made with rentals, etc. everyone at our wedding loved the food, including us, and is highly recommend them!

Seedling and Sage did an amazing job for our wedding. The staff were great! They were polite, attentive, and fun! Omar was our captain for the day and he made sure we were taken care of if we needed anything at all. Special shoutout to Maria who worked with us behind the scene to plan all of the details. She was so nice to work with and answered ALL of our questions. Highly recommend this company for your next catered event.

We hired Seedling and Sage Catering for a Truist Watch Party and they did an amazing job. The staff arrived early and did everything to make the event a success, food was delicious. Very professional and helpful staff, I would highly recommend! We will be using them for all future catering needs.

Working with Annette at Seedling & Sage was a dream come true. Annette and I started talking months before my wedding happened, and she was attentive and caring about my dietary restrictions. Not only was Annette wonderfully accommodating, but so was the staff on the day of my wedding! Omar and Cathy served my husband and me and were attentive to our needs all night. The best wedding catering! From communication leading up to our big day and the quality of the food on our wedding day. Our guests said it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding! Maria was phenomenal and very knowledgeable of all my wedding questions (she even helped answer some not related to the food/drinks)! 10/10 would recommend, you won’t go wrong!
