See below for what makes this place stand out. Upstairs dining is nice and bar usually has some spots open unless it's when they are having live music then place can be busy. Music is good, drink menu/bar has lots to offer, and food is good.
Now what sets this apart for me is the fact they have a section downstairs and the food is all smoked and quite frankly is delicious. Smoked whiskeys, smoked chicken, pork, Mac n cheese, etc. Atmosphere is good and wasn't busy at all when we went.

Our family of 7 enjoyed dinner on Saturday evening to celebrate our grandson's 10th birthday. We all shared 2 gigantic pretzels with beer cheese dip that was fantastic! Husband and I had fish and chips that was done perfectly and had great flavor. Daughter and one granddaughter had steak tacos that they loved. Birthday boy ordered cheeseburger and fries and this was the only disappointment. Although it came out on a large bun with lettuce and onion he requested he cut it in half to eat and the second half had no meat. The small burger only took up half the bun. But what he got tasted good. Youngest granddaughter had chicken fingers and mac and cheese and ate every bite. Son in law had smokehouse mac and cheese and loved it. Service was outstanding. I didn't get her name but she was an older lady with gray hair in a ponytail. She was very patient especially with so many different orders. She really took good care of us as well as the other tables in her section. We really enjoyed the guitar player. He was very personable and encouraged everyone to participate and sing along. Overall it was a great evening and we can't wait to return.

Love the outside patio area. What isn't enjoyable is parents letting their kids act like feral dogs running around, no shoes, throwing the disc's for the outdoor connect 4 game, lining the disc's across the patio causing a safety hazard for not only staff but customers. I get it's a family friendly establishment, it's not romper room.
Really disappointed. We both had the fish and chips - it was over-breaded and greasy. It was also either overcooked or the grease needed changed as the color was very dark. Wish I had taken a picture. We scraped off the breading to be able to eat it. The service was fine. Very friendly waitress. The beer was cold. We do not plan to return.

From the moment my friend and I entered The Blue Sky Tavern, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Very attentive. The waitress, Kyranna, greeted us with a smile and made recommendations. The food was phenomenal!

The food is higher priced and isn't worth the higher cost.
The service isn't the best at all

Some of the best ribs that me and my family have shared in a long time. The coleslaw is fantastic and the Mac and cheese is rich and gooey! The service was outstanding. The food came out hot and fresh. This place is an absolute treasure. Absolutely amazing!

Our family wanted to try the new menu downstairs since we’ve enjoyed the regular menu items several times, unfortunately it was a mistake. My husband and son got the ribs and they were burnt. I tried it and had to spit it out. My son couldn’t eat his, and my husband tried to take off the charcoal top to eat the what he could. There is a difference between good bark and burnt bark, and even after it was slathered in sauce it was still bitter. My brisket was very thin and dry. I would recommend the cornbread though. Too much money to spend when the main part of the dishes are inedible.

We just had a baby shower downstairs for my son and daughter-in-law. What a great experience! The food was great, the service was great, the prices were affordable, the atmosphere was perfect! Thank you Chef Ryan, Wayne and Annabelle for making this special day a 5 star experience!

The atmosphere at Blue Tavern is fantastic. I started off with a Yuengling Lager, which was a great choice to set the tone for the evening. For dinner, I had the seafood Alfredo with shrimp and crawfish—absolutely delicious, rich, and full of flavor.
Afterward, I tried a Dr. Pepper whiskey with bitters and cherry, and it was just as impressive. A well-balanced cocktail to finish the night.
Overall, excellent food, drinks, and vibe, I’ll definitely be back

It's a great place with an exceptional beer selection. Unfortunately they currently (Aug 2025) have almost zero vegan menu options.

Barbecue is terrible. Burnt ends were tough and dry. Pulled chicken was mush. The only good thing is the service.

Super weird and inconvenient to have two menus in the same building that you can only get unless you sit in the right place. If I'm downstairs for Karaoke night I want bar food like wings and cheese fries and the like but downstairs you can only get barbecue sandwich stuff and the wings are upstairs but they can't come down. Very strange and a real bummer
